I've actually managed to stop the crashing by simply using a gamepad instead. :P

This is because, on a gamepad, it is impossible to hit L/R at the same time.

They recently released another build. Hopefully it fixes the weird crashes that occured for me at the december build and hopefully it will work better on OCG's PC.

This version runs even worse. Sound is unstandable and sounds worse than ever before.

2.1.0 :D

Looks like we are on the same level. 2.1.0 works great for me speed-wise, there are some issues with sound but at least frame rate is good.
Every version after 2.1.0 works terrible for me.

I have lag too. They need to stop screwing around and fix other versions.

Since you guys are the only ones having the issue, I can only assume that your graphics cards have a problem with the new framework for the emulator: GIT. Thus, they may not be able to fix it.

I am wondering why the graphics card would affect the sound issues?

Because slowdown in general would affect the sound a bit.

Git isn't a framework, it's a version control system. Basically you send any changes to the program code to it with a small message, and then you can browse through the changes and see what they did (git does more than that, but that's besides the point). The code isn't using a different framework for the git version, so we can rule that out as a cause of the issues.

Ah. I was more thinking about what the issue could be, but I guess that wasn't it.

Damn, I was hoping the cause of issue would be discovered.

Because an older card may not support or be powerful enough for a newer technology.

Also, it is pretty much a general rule of this forum not to double (or, in your case, triple)-post. I understand you're a newbie, but...

EDIT: BTW you can introduce yourself here. ;)

Hm, I just remember that the thread name used to be "The Emulation Thread"
I wonder why was it changed to "Rayman emulation"?
I liked old name better because it fitted more since people here sometimes also discuss about other non related emulation issues. Just curious why was it changed?

I suppose to make it more clear that this thread is intended for Rayman games only, though it's a bit unnecessary, since this thread is in the Rayman forums. But I think that the name change was for the better, to make this more clear.

I think there should be an off-topic emulation thread as well, though.
