Hm, I'd keep them seperate, each have their own advantages and weaknesses in gameplay, but I don't think combining the two would really benefit either.
I'd alternate, or give the N64 style a rest for now, seeing as that's been the standard for well over a decade.

Having CO-OP in 64 formula is main reason why I want it.

I've read that they experimented with such an idea with 64DS, and there were even screenshots of more than one playable character on screen, so I guess Ninty has been trying to put it in.

Those likely come from the Versus Mode of 64DS, where up to four players run around stages, battling for Power Stars.

They should have made full CO-OP in 64DS.

The VS Mode was a little unstable, so I don't think a full co-op mode would of worked. Keep in mind that the DS isn't the most powerful system.

Right then, Ninty Direct just finished, no sign of Metroid yet, sadly, but some interesting stuff came up, Rosalina is confirmed as a fighter for Smash Bros.
Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright is also releasing about March in Europe, if I heard correctly. Of interest to those who play Pokemon, get Pokemon Box soon, and you'll get a free Celebi. OCG will be happy to hear that they're bringing in proper Nintendo Network IDs for the 3DS, one can just link their 3DS to the ID as their Wii U.

Oh cool, that new Zelda game has got me curious. :)

Thanks for the links, Master.

It certainly doesn't look like your run of the mill title, looks more hack n' slash, I noticed some references to something called Dynasty Warrior in the comments when that came up, perhaps there's some link?

The new Zelda game is a spin-off developed by the developers of Dynasty Warriors. Interesting, to say the least.

------------------

I FUCKING CALLED ROSALINA. YEEEEEEEEEES.
That's another one of my wishlist characters checked. Now I just need Professor Layton and Reggie.

Also, YOSHI WHAT ARE YOU DOIN INMY SANIC GAEM?
And hey, it's free! Should be fun.

Sorry for the double post, but in case "LINK to the eShop" was not enough proof that the second Sonic Lost World expansion will be Zelda-themed, this image was shown in the European Direct, at least:

The Triforce is meant to be in that image, right? I can't seem to spot it.

It's on the wall, just a bit behind Sonic.

Caught up with everything, finally.

I must say, holy crap that Zelda spinoff looks amazing! Kirby triple deluxe, and Yoshis new Island are day one purchases for me. Rosalina being in Smash Bros? Interesting... certainly hasn't impressed me a whole lot but that cutscene was pretty freaking awesome. I'm likely to buy tropical Freeze! And MK8 will be a must in the spring! Hopefully I can afford all this. Oh and that Lost World DLC is also kickass news! I'll have to download it soon since it's free!

I'm kind of on the fence on the Zelda spin-off myself, because I have past experience with Dynasty Warriors. I'll give this one the benefit of the doubt, because Nintendo will likely over see development, and may make sure it's not as repetitive as most Dynasty Warriors games (even the Gundam ones get kind of old, and I love Gundam). It seems like it's just a low-budget side project to hold Zelda fans over until Zelda U. It may not even be a retail game. I don't expect it to have much of a story either, if any. As long as it has online play (which I'm hopeful for, as Dynasty Warriors generally does have that, including the Gundam series), I won't complain too much. It'll at least be enjoyable.

I'm kind of curious as to what the Zelda DLC for Lost World will be like. I'm thinking it'll be based off of Wind Waker due to it fitting in with Lost World's art style. But whatever it is, I hope it's a big, open 3D level.

It seems like the Sonic fanbase is throwing a bitch-fit due to the fact there's Nintendo DLC. Well, I'm not surprised.

Really? I've not heard any complaints over this, but I've not really gandered to the murkier waters, so perhaps I'm just not looking hard enough.

I've seen comments on the trailer for the DLC along the lines of "RIP Sonic" "Sonic is now Nintendo's bitch" etc etc.
