I'm bumping this to tell ya: I got some info about Legends/Origins thanks to someone that I won't say his name

First, about Legends: if you remember about the leaked trailer: you could see sort of beta amiibos (like heart etc) that weren't into final game: it was because this leaked video was sort of prototype to show Nintendo what they could do with Gamepad. They scrapped it because they didn't really knew what were the specs of gamepad etc. Furthermore, the online money system with rupees was scrapped because it wasn't really worth it and as the game was WiiU only, and "Online" & Nintendo doesn't work well
Origins: The game was changed to its "early" form where it had life points and lives counters because they thought it would slow down the gameplay and lives in platformers in 2011-2012 was really annoying: their goal was to make the game a sort of fast paced platformer and also a 4 player game so they did the bubble thing to less punish the player.
Also, early in the developpement, the game was much different that we knew it. At first, the game was supposed to be more oriented exploration and RPG. It was also supposed to have way more much background story. Mr Dark was supposed to sell you things such as potions etc. The story was scrapped because "it was a huge mess that tried to be a story first that evolved until no one wanted to deal with it, and it became succession of nervous level". He told me the guy that created the story was being "depressed" (he's exaggerating) by the story

.
The game form evolved more or less alone, they worked really so hard to have fast paced and fluids controls that the game became a speed fest but they haven't really saw it and then the metagame and story became problems, so they had to take a decision.
Hope that helped a little!

Strange at data 01806 I heard Barbara. Don't say they got her sounds from Rayman 3.
Oh great, bye bye Rayman 4 gameplay. He's such a butthurt! Is he actually allowed to make money with Ubisoft's content containing informations about Rayman 4? I am confused about it.

Eh, stealing someone's content and rehosting it without crediting is incredibly rude tbh... an apology would definitely be in order.

Sounds similar to Barbara, but it's not quite her. Sounds like something from Begoniax.
Anyway, did that guy even say what the fans stole from him? And even then, I highly doubt anyone has claimed that stuff as their own. Either way, I feel bad that this turned out unpleasant for everyone and I hope he can forgive the people who uploaded his work without his permission.

Maybe its for the best. If we saw gameplay if it was really good, we would only feel bad it was never made. And I can bet even if there was prototypbe build, this bastard would never share it online.

This. We didn't post any scans from the Rayman book either after we were told not to, did we? If anyone here wanted to see anything else from Tamaki, that video/podcast/whatever it was shouldn't have been shared here, period.
But even if he were to share a video from that prototype, it would be the most boring thing ever. The gameplay mechanics were in a very early state and there was only one untextured test map, judging from the screenshots that he shared. So... meh, not worth it.

Whilst I don't entirely understand what has happened, this turned out pretty shitty, but at the same time is a complete non issue.
Really the only thing that stood out to me from this whole thing is Tamaki's unprofessional response, and whilst I do sympathise with his situation, swearing like a trooper and attacking a whole community because of the actions one member -that being Spiraldoor releasing part of a podcast you were supposed to buy access too, and I'm sure Spiral did it with the best of intent despite the dubious morality of the act- probably didn't help in the slightest, and turned archiving of information into a hostage situation except the hostage is half of the ingredients of a cake, that would be nice to have buy probably Wouldn't be missed in the long run.

Read the linked topic, lol. It was me.

What I did basically is that driven by curiosity I got access to Patreon supporter content and due to the fact that this system is incredibly exploitable I was able to get access to ALL of the exclusive content without paying a dime and cancelling my payment right after getting what I wanted. With that said, first I wrote down every piece of information that I've gathered to that topic, also later I shared the sound file which originally contained that info that which Spiral had edited down, because We Only Care About the Rayman Content Here. Later I also came across a video that contained SOME new informations but mostly was containing art from portfolios that were known for years anyway. I shared image stills from the noteworthy pieces of that said video which was discussed by this small group of people here and that was it. I never shared it anywhere else and /or claimed it as my own. I did it to discover stuff that I was denied of by BS excuses, because shortly after the announcing the existence of this content it's release was put on hold indefinitely which annoyed me. I WAS willing to pay the Patreon supporter fee thing, but as it turned out I didn't need to because the system is a piece of crap.
Here's how it works: You pick the tier that you want to support and you're getting instant access to it, BUT you won't be charged of ANY money, because it only charges at the end of the month. I'm surprised that this guy doesn't get his content stolen continuously, because it literally takes ZERO effort to get access to supporter content without any problems or hacking anything at all.
Anyway, after I shared those images and the later edited sound file somehow, the guy found this little place of ours and started throwing a tantrum to like 10-15 people who were interested in this info in their own little place. I'm willing to admit the error of my ways as I can get pretty arrogant and "primal" when it comes to getting what I want by my own hands, but his reaction to this thing was pretty priceless too. He acts like I'm some kind of regressive criminal who constantly does this that which I'm not. I only got the Rayman 4 related content and that was it. Haven't even bothered to check the place since then cuz his somewhat childish tantrum and collectively blaming the entire community for the deeds of one arrogant mind is an incredibly stupid thing which put me off.
So, yeah, this is the story.

From that topic; Spyro wrote:
There IS a working prototype of Rayman 4. It is very barebones, but it is working. The guy is planning to release an actual gameplay video of this prototype "pretty soon".
So it's true. It may be not worth of it.

Situation with Rayman book cannot be compared to this in the slightest. The History Of Rayman is a copyrighted book and if author did not want scanning and was nice to all of us and enjoys this community, of course we won't scan it. Even I - the number 1 supporter of leaks did not scan the book because of friendly relations with author and respecting him. Tamaki owns no copyright related to Rayman and was just unnecessary teasing all of us for too long by making content Patreon exclusive. Sure I can understand somone keeping Patreon stuff exclusive for a bit but his delay was way too long. If leak did not happen, video would not be rushed on YouTube on the day it was and who knows if he would even release it by now. I hate people like him who just tease for no good reason when nothing is stopping them to release it. Tamaki deserves no respect from anyone and I don't think anyone should apologise to him. He is just a raging child who can't stand facts and blocks on Twitter even when others try civilized debates with him.
