I don't think they can all be found across Hogwards and that they indeed need to be bought.

Really? I'm pretty sure I came close to getting all forty, and I saw the few I was missing but couldn't figure out how to get to them. (Plus the guy says they can be found all across Hogwarts, if he's lying, I'll…

)

I got the forty personally, I'm sure only some cards can be found though, the rest have to be bought.

I always have found / bought them all. I think that the game has indeed a system that allows you to buy silver cards that you missed in areas you can't visit again (such as the forest or the chamber). A great improvement from the first one where if you missed something, you missed it definitively.
And the golden cards room is really cool!
On something completely unrelated: Asemblance doesn't have any satisfying ending. Not sur it even has a real ending actually. The last secret that can be found is really elusive, and the two others are ridiculously hidden. A team efforts from the community has been necessary to find the precise actions to perform to unlock the first one. And even it doesn't give a proper conclusion! The second one depends on it, and actually can be considered has an ending. But… Meh, it doesn't really tell anything.
Quite a disappointment. It has good ideas, but only use them as gimmicks.

Sounds like 2D Nightmare!
But, Itooh, do you know: is it possible to get all forty cards without buying any? (Your answer may impact my dreams.

)

Unfortunately I don't know either.
Seems like we'll never know if there are unexplored parts of Hogwarts left.

Damn it! Right, as soon as I get time, I'm playing the Ball to find all its secrets and hone my skills, then I'll fire up the Chamber of Secrets and see what I can achieve!

Drolpiraat wrote:Thanks! I'll definitely try out SMT sometime. I keep a list for games I want to try out and it's been on there for quite a while now, but I keep buying new stuff and only rarely get to play older games nowadays.

What do you think would be a good starting point for the SMT series?
Depends what you are looking for. The big question is whether you want to start SMT or Persona (a huge spinoff series in SMT)
Gameplay wise, both are very similar and involve exploiting enemy weaknesses to win.
Story wise, they're totally different. SMT is about post apocalyptic Tokyo being invaded by demons. Various factions fight over what they want the 'outcome' of the new world to be, and you essentially have the power to change the world, which is decided based on the choices you make. (Freedom vs Order is a very reoccuring theme in the series.) Interesting aspect is that you need to negotiate with demons to get them to join your party, and you can fuse them as well to make new demons.
Persona is very different, as it involves a group of teenagers going through high school trying to reach resolutions with the difficulties in their life and fight off demons/shadows (the surpressed thoughts of humans given form) using their 'Personas', which is described as a 'mask used to face hardships', you can sort of look it as a control, tamed ego, the opposite of shadows. It is largely a visual novel/RPG, and can take up to 100 hours, but the character development is very heavy. 'Persona's' work the same way as the demons do in SMT, as you get them to join your party by fusing or obtaining from battle. SMT does not have much character development so to speak of, most of its character development is told through the conflict of the apocalypse and the various wills of people and what their 'ideal world' is. Persona deals a lot with jungian psychology. Persona 5 is coming out valetines day, if you're looking for something more new.
So it depends what you want. The Persona games are far easier in difficulty, while the SMT games are known for being very brutal.
If you want to start with Persona, I'd recommend going for 3 or 4, although 3 is much harder due to stupid AI in battles. As for SMT, start with either Nocturne or Digital Devil Saga.
It all just depends what you're looking for. Don't be afraid to do a bit of searching on the games, as it is nice to know what you're getting into.

Playing Resident Evil Revelations 2 at the moment. I'll post more about it when I've finished it, but I can already say it's got a pretty good lifespan.

I like how Barry's legacy consisted of flashlight holding.
But yeah, the game is a pretty solid co-op experience especially.

Half-Life Opposing force, I finally got my hands on it !
I haven't realised how young Shephard is, but I like to play as him since he is the only masked character of the series.
I've just met Freeman near the lambda core teleporter.

I did... Only to fall into the infinity vortex.
Shephard seems to have a better mastery of weapons, it must be because of his military training, I noticed his mp5 deals more damage than Freeman's, and that he's able to shoot at a higher rate with his shotgun.
He's the doomguy of the Half-Life franchise.
I also found that alien amphibian weapon, kawaii desu !

That's for the one bundled with the metal emblem set, do all versions come with that? I don't know.
I really don't have time to start it anytime soon since I have an upcoming test and a lot of homework.
But it makes me want to try that much harder so I can experience it during break.
(Also I'd really recommend going for Neutral route in SMT IV before you pick this game up)

Been playing Omega Ruby and the same old multiplayer crap I play on PC
Really want a new triple A, story driven game to come out. Last one I played through was Uncharted 4 (which was super cool). Might give Mafia 3 a shot if it's received well, but really want a top tier dev, like Rockstar, to release something.

Been playing with this super Mario world randomizer thing, and it's extremely enjoyable, seeing thing you knew as a child acting completely different from what they've used to be like. It's almost like if it's a rogue-like, Incredibly fascinating stuff.
