Rayman Pirate-Community

I don't understand why it's so difficult for them to make a 3D model of Rayman now, but I they're trying to base it too much off of 2D artwork which doesn't at all represent a realistic 3D perspective. Like said above, Rayman 3's model is basically the Origins design with a couple small changes to be made.

It seems like they're mostly just trying to capture the Origins style, however the style doesn't seem to work in 3D... the way they're doing it at least. Like you said, we'd just need to the R3 model with a few tweaks. I actually think the rest of the body is quite good. Like I said it looks VERY squished and flattened, it's a little awkward viewing the trophy from a frontal position.

Concurred, I've also stated that I'm not so fond of how plastic Rayman's trophy looked, and it carries forward in those images. On the other hand, our prankster did a much better job in keeping Rayman organic looking.

That's perfect, is what that is. It's not technically a 3D render, but it's certainly the best 3D styled interpretation of RO/RL Rayman. I'd love to see a 3D model based off this refinement.

Though I said I didn't mind the other version that much, this version is actually much better imo. The "eyebrows" look far less slapped-on and more natural.

Now that they're eyeliner they make so much more sense! He's done the gradient really nicely! This is a Rayman I can get behind.

It was actually the original artist ("leaker") who edited the eyebrows, he's been really great over in the Rayman thread at Smash Boards.

He should join RPC

Ahh, it's good to hear that he's been treated well, given the outlandish backlash. Nice sig you got there, like the alt costumes.

Yeah, I gave him the whole welcoming party and everything, he's a fan of Rayman himself. There were a few sour apples throwing out death threats, and anti-Rayman blokes jumping in to ruin everyone's day, but we managed to keep the peace and everything's running great now. I actually wasn't even mad at the guy, I was preparing myself for disappointment even once the video popped up and everyone was sure it was real, I'm more amazed and glad to have the best picture of Rayman ever. The exposure doesn't hurt either, more people than ever are talking about Rayman in Smash, and we even got a load of supporters.

Also, I'd rather have costumes instead of recolors. Also, no Raymesis skin?

I was getting used to the brows until Omni updated it, I just think the new one looks better.

Costumes are a rare thing in Smash, and I doubt Rayman would be the only third party with any. And the last one is Raymesis.
