Okay, fine, you've got me with those. But I'm talking about mostly changes to the storyline, not additions. Back to my first point: Danonanobadray327 said that Murfy was a prisoner in the PSX version. He was using this to counter the fact that Murfy and Rayman met in Rayman 2. But shouldn't Rayman and Murfy meeting in Rayman 2 be canon, seeing as it's in all of the other versions? It was an alteration that, I'm sure in most opinions, was made for the worse.spiraldoor wrote:I know what you’re saying, but I don’t see how you arrived at that conclusion. Do you also think that the backstories provided for the Guardians in R2 PS1 don’t count? Would you have us forget them? How about Mr Dark’s windows shattering in R1 for Saturn? Or the legend told before commencing the game at the Globox Disc? Are you aware that the first three levels of Candy Château as you know them were introduced in a port? Should Globox Village be non-canon too? Should we purge Grolem 13 from our memories and bleach Ninjaws from our brains?

Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
I was under the impression that Murphy wasn't the only Greenbottle in existence. And I also was under the impression that in the PSX version, different critters were trapped in the cages, including things like the little Ludiv fairy thingies, Teensies, or Greenbottles - while Murphy is a Greenbottle it doesn't necessarily mean that every Greenbottle is Murphy, even though they look similar.Sabertooth1000000000 wrote:Okay, fine, you've got me with those. As far as I know, it wouldn't be Murphy in that PSX version cage anyways, so I don't see how this would cause any problems with this whole canon-discontinuity thing.
In short, simple terms so it can't be easily confused:
Murphy didn't meet Rayman until R2. Rayman may have met OTHER Greenbottles previously, like the ones in the cages, but that does not necessarily mean that he knew Murphy specifically.
Wait, what? Now I'm confused. Isn't Murphy the guide in every game? Sure Ly shows up sometimes, but the 'guide' is Murphy, not her. I wouldn't know for sure since I haven't played any version besides Revolution, but I've done some quick research on them in the past and didn't see anything like this. Haruka said that Murphy is a Greenbottle, and the guy you saw in the cage in the PSX version was a different Greenbottle. Where does Ly come into this?Danonanobadray327 wrote:Haruka tell me that murphy is a ''grenbottle'' in the psx version, instead of communicating telepathically with Murphy, Rayman communicate telepathically with Ly...

Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
Well, I can tell where you got the inspiration for tracks 2 and 3 at least...
I'm guessing that Windmill Hills is practically the Land of The Livid Dead? The tunes are almost carbon copies!
Besides that, REALLY nice. I especially like track 5 - the sense of destiny and awesomeness (for want of a better word) is just amazing. Keep it up!

Track 1 is basically Rise and Shine as well. Still, it sounds really good.
EDIT: Oh, and you accidentally numbered them: 1, 2, 3, 2, 3

Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
In this case, yes. In other cases, not necessarily. Murfy was removed entirely from the PlayStation version; the removal of a character in one port certainly doesn’t mean the complete removal of that character from canon. In Rayman 3, Murfy says ‘After Rayman 2, I was told I’d be cast as a...’ (I can’t remember the rest of what he says, but it doesn’t matter). This reference makes it clear that Murfy did in fact appear in Rayman 2, and that the removal of Murfy from the PlayStation version is non-canon. This does not mean that other elements added, changed or even removed by the PlayStation version are non-canon.Sabertooth1000000000 wrote:But I'm talking about mostly changes to the storyline, not additions. Murfy is not in the PlayStation version of Rayman 2. Other greenbottles appear in the game and can be freed from cages, but Murfy himself does not. His role is taken over by Ly. The Stones of Thought have Ly’s face on them instead of Murfy’s in this version.Ephriokko wrote:Wait, what? Now I'm confused. Isn't Murphy the guide in every game? Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
Guys it's obvious that Murfy isn't freed on the R2 for PS1. It's other greenbottles equal to him, maybe his brothers, sisters, cousins, etc BUT IT ISN'T Murfy. Murfy just doesn't appear on this version, Ly replaces him during the game.

I think it's fairly obvious what IS canon and what ISN'T.

I use my Yamaha MO8 synth keyboard, and apply effects in Ableton. First off, Adobe's a company, not a program. Secondly, Adobe doesn't even make music software.
