A .deleted extension? I've never heard of that. Could you not have tried just renaming it back to its original name without the extension?
Tried that, it didn't work, Dolphin couldn't recover it. All of my saves didn't work and I had to dump them to make new onesPluMGMK wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 9:46 am A .deleted extension? Yes, lots of blue is what my personality is, just like the screenshots I made!Rsandee wrote: Tue Feb 10, 2026 10:06 pm That first one looks really beautiful especially you're correct ^^
That Land of the Livid Dead tower level always captured my imagination, and I like the other 2 pics you've made as well, the blue really pops out!
Adding some notes: I came back to The Longest Shortcut. Finally. I hope I can go further. And I cleaned my old laptop's disk up from some garbage so it works a little bit better. Anyway, back to R3! New screenshots will be here soon, but only when I go further (for instance, to The Summit Beyond the Clouds). Would like to know your opinions on this!Kiza/Raybox wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 3:36 pm Yes, lots of blue is what my personality is, just like the screenshots I made!
The Longest Shortcut is definitely a point where the game slows down and where it can be tricky to know how to advance, especially if you missed one crown and you don't know where it is. It's kind of like the calm before the storm, starting from The Summit Beyond the Clouds and beyond you're in the home-stretch to the final boss and the game will definitely ramp up and peak at that point. The Summit Beyond the Clouds is my favorite world in R3 artistically and it features my favorite part of the game which is its second level. This is the point where the game gets seriously good ^^Kiza/Raybox wrote: Thu Feb 19, 2026 4:05 pm Adding some notes: I came back to The Longest Shortcut. Finally. I hope I can go further. About the Hoodlum HQ easter egg... well, I know where it is pretty well, even a long time later. I remember it pretty well so it's easy for me to find itRsandee wrote: Thu Feb 19, 2026 8:14 pm See if you can find the hidden R2 easter egg in Hoodlum HQ as well!
That is quite possibly the most impressive single level in the game. It beats even the starlight tower in LOTLD, and feels on par with the epic climb in TOTL part 2.Rsandee wrote: Thu Feb 19, 2026 8:14 pmThe Summit Beyond the Clouds is my favorite world in R3 artistically and it features my favorite part of the game which is its second level.
These TLS secrets are the only way to get Murfy stamps, IIRC. The one in HH is just cool.Rsandee wrote: Thu Feb 19, 2026 8:14 pm The Longest Shortcut actually has some hidden secrets I didn't even know about and found out about until years later, and that is while already knowing about the secret statue. I totally agree! Rayman 2 is the peak for sure and I love how it handles swamp levels, but there's maybe just a tad too many swamp-themed levels in that game. I also never understood why there's both a sanctuary of stone and fire, and a sanctuary of rock and lava. It seems like a missed opportunity to mix different themes in the game but I can understand that it's easier to re-use assets in order to save development time and maybe meet some deadlines.Hunchman801 wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 7:34 pm What I really like is how almost every level in Rayman 3 has its memorable highlight that everyone loves. I'm a huge Rayman 2 fan, and it's got some of the best levels in the series, but they don't all feel so different from each other, and there's a few that are not so memorable in my opinion.
I wholeheartedly agree and I thought it was more popular but apparently *ahem* some people think it's a sloglyndo64 wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 10:33 pm I absolutely love the vibe the snowboard section of SBtC, the night sky and the almost cabin feel with the mtns is just perfect
