Now this is scary! Is this work in progress for your Rayman 1 Expert project?
Yeah, I guess it answers your earlier question on how am I going to make the bosses more difficult...

Have you been able to make the boss battles more difficult? Editing their behavior sounds significantly harder than coming up with new level design, but I imagine you don't want them to feel too underwhelming compared to the other levels whose difficulty was increased a lot.
I asked Raycarrot if he was able to locate the boss code and it appears quite a lot of the bosses have sequences and tables where you just change some bytes and you can customize the order and the timings of the attacks.

I guess in its current state he's literally impossible to beat, and you're still working on it? Or is there more that didn't make it into the video?

Yeah don't worry, that's definitely not the final thing, that's just a concept of what can happen if you change the commands and the timings.
...and yes in that video it's impossible to beat without cheats as he dosen't cycle through to the bit wher you can hit the totem.

Sounds like a lot of trial and error, but while you may not be able to achieve exactly what you have in mind, this should be enough for the healthy dose of sadism this project commends.

Thanks for bringing back these games, I found the forum again looking for this game and found it was a diamond of a community
I was just discussing about this on Discord, this guy did a great job, I first thought it was 2D!

Really impressive stuff, this would work very well in a UbiArt game.

..or for a Rayman 1 remake
Damn, it would be great to have a remake that has the same 2D feeling as the original but all the assets are in 3D like this Skops model

That would be great indeed, though I'll take Rayman 4 over any remake of a previous game.

Hey guys, maybe some of you can help me with this bug... I started playing Rayman 1 with the emulator and everything was fine until I beat Mr Stone. Since then, the game will show a crash dump randomly at some point of the Picture City. I even tried starting a new game, but it will always happen there, at Picture City. I tried different solutions proposed on the Internet (I even read it was all about the headseats lol), but none of them worked. Has anyone experienced this bug?

It's the first time I've heard of something like this, but if your savestates are compatible with other emulators, maybe try to switch and see what happens?
