Does F1 just teach you random geography facts then?

I also went to school, I didn't grow up only watching F1

But yes, I've been good at it since I was a kid. They don't race in every single country, but eventually you get to know the borders/countries surrounding it, etc.

So, essentially, the commentators talk about the country they are racing in?

I don't pay as much attention to it now, but I used to watch the hour or two before the race, and they talked about a little bit of everything. F1 games have also helped to locate countries on the map
