Woah, Rayfan, awesome music just as always! :D I especially like the first track, Dawn.
Is Windmill Hills the area from the Rayman 4 prototype that the rabbids invaded in the trailer? Because that's the only place in Rayman with windmills I think, and it's quite hilly so I think that's where you got the idea from. :)

@Drolpiraat: there are windmills as well in The Land of the Livid dead in Rayman 3, and judging from the music this is probably the inspiration for this part.

About the music: it's OK, it isn't bad, but it isn't quite something I'd like to listen to all day. Points on which can be improved are that all the instruments appear to play the same tune and sound too keyboard-ish, and that the drum is out of sync.

You know, I think you're just limiting yourself too much. Learn how to work with composing software so you can fix all these points.

Didn’t you give that name to a Rayman 3 track on RayTunes?

Edit: yes, you did

Oh yeah, lol, forgot about that. It'd be damn cool though if you'd make this the area from the Rayman 4 prototype ( partly because I'm still crazy about that ).

Thanks. I know Windmill Hills had something to do with Rayman 3. :P

Hehe... I love the music for the Land of the Livid Dead. :D Maybe I liked some of the music because it was familiar. Sort of 'Oh hey... have I heard this before?' or if you recognize it 'Whoa, cool.' :B

^Thanks.

I know it's been FOREVER since the last update, but I should be uploading gameplay very, very, very soon. Within the next couple days. Maybe even today.

:oops2: Huh, looks like today is your good day! Here you go:

I KNOW THAT I... 'APPEAR' TO BE RUNNING THROUGH WALLS AND WALKING ON AIR, BUT THAT'S JUST YOUR FAULT. RED BULL GIVES RAYMAN WINGS AND CLIPPING ABILITIES. Actually, it's because elevation and hill detection doesn't work properly yet, so I just run along a flat surface until I jump, then I collide with the ground. Keep calm, it shall be fixed.

The music is just a 4 minute Rayman 1.5 ambient jam I recorded raw. Nothing special.

Also Sabertooth1000000000, I may ask you soon to update the first post with a full diary of my Rayman 1.5 work when I put one together. That way people won't have to go fishing.

You are forgiven for the contact issues.
It looks very nice, very smooth. I especially like the shooting - Rayman's occasional glance at his fist is a nice detail. I'm dying to know if he can get hurt by the rebound.
My one problem is with the jump. I think it's probably just my playing style (this is why I find NES games hugely frustrating), but he seems to ascend, hover, and descend very sloooooowly, even without the helicopter. It looks like a gust of wind is holding him up in the air for slightly longer than normal. Meh, 'tis but a niggle.

It looks very nice. As Jewish Candy mentioned jumping is only a problem. Anyting other is awesome, especially shooting looks very smooth. Only last shoot with full power looks a little funny but it's ok :) I'm looking forward to seeing next gameplay.

It looks very professional, and the graphics and quality is amazing. The finished game will be terrific, no doubt about it :)

I must say it really looks great so far! :D I quite like how you made the energy sphere animation.
