Even though Crash's visuals were a major selling point back in the day, I think gameplay should always be the main focal point. Having Crash floating in mid-air is more preferable than the frustrations that come with the rounded hitbox.

It's literally one of the first things I noticed and then I started thinking I'd prefer the original over it for the gameplay. I literally didn't play it much after that but I do own it. Does it only happen in the first one or does Warped do it too? That's the one I remember playing most as a kid and I don't recall the couple of levels I played having a problem. Though that was months ago.

The hitbox thing apparently happens in Crash 2 and 3 too, yeah. But if there isn't as much precision platforming involved, I might still try them out I suppose.
Though I wish I could just play the original games on PS4 instead. Even for graphics. The extra detail in N. Sane Trilogy is nice but makes it slightly harder to see what is an object and what is scenery. Not to mention I prefer the higher contrast/colors from the original games.

I'm actually considering buying the original games for my PS1 but they're kind of expensive now. I only ever actually owned Warped out of the 3 games but I played cortex strikes back in my cousins and I loved it. That's what made me want the game but instead of that game I was bought Warped. Couldn't complain one bit because I loved the game and spent years playing it
I'm not entirely sure about the new ones apart from the graphics being better but as you said I always liked the high contrast and vibrance from the original games. It would be cool though if Sony could at least have a PS1 emulator that lets you put a PS1 game into the PS4 and play it. Either that or it would've been nice to see the games released on PS3 as psone classics like Rayman was.

Just nab em on PS1, nothing quite beats the authentic feel than playing on the CRT television.

I second that opinion

too bad you won't be able to play the Stormy Assent DLC in the PS1 version of crash 1 but you won't be missing out on much other than getting an easy game over due to the "unfair difficulty"

I need to get myself all the Crash games for PS1. I used to have Warped but that literally could be anywhere at this stage. The games all cost well into double figures also and as Rayfist was saying you really want discs that are in good condition for that kind of money.

Kind of sad we've reached the point where common best selling PS1 games are now going for over $20 usually, but that's the price you gotta pay. Really worth it for the Crash games though, but Crash 1 has really gotten up there in price, best to just cheap out and get the greatest hits version.

Holy crap they cost a lot. As you said though they are really good games and are worth it. Crash 1 is 30 Euro posted for the original disc that's not platinum. I think platinum must just be the European version of greatest hits.
EDIT: Oh and that's "Acceptable" condition

Oh my god! I completed 62% of the game and now I'm gonna have to start everything all over again to unlock all the cars!
But, I'm still not giving up yet.

That's right, keep going strong! You can do it!
My game of choice for the moment is Mario Kart Double Dash! Although I switch my games 2-3 times per day so I'll be editing my posts often if no one else responds.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 (Masters Edition). Bought the game again back in December after I sold it years earlier. Got interested in the sport of golf again last October so I decided to buy it for Christmas.

Golf always interests me and someday I want to try playing it for real instead of in just a video game, although I probably will suck at it the first time, just like when I played tennis.
My game is Sonic Forces: Speed Battle.

Currently i'm playing: Warcraft III
I have decided play Warcraft III The Frozen Throne with Enhanced Reign of Chaos Campaign, Even i haven't completed yet. I'm still working my project for Ice Crown. So I've been started working Ice Crown in 2013 as the First Beta Release, it was invulnerable for Peon and Grunt. In other words, i have completed playing Campaign for The Frozen Throne, But i wish if i'm completing Bonus Campaign. the Three Acts.
In the Future, i had On-hold my project for Ice Crown. which i have lot to do for making models for Character (OBJ to MDX). I figured if i have Blender for importing MMD Models then save OBJ File, i might try later.
While i'm watching Videos or replay for Warcraft III, I figured about Melee Maps. that i only heard: Mystic Isles, Emerald Gardens, Divide and Conquer, and Hills of Glory.
So, in that case. I have downloaded custom maps on EpicWar site, Patch 1.27b has increased map size to 128 MB.
As the Warcraft III Reign of Chaos, Well... Exodus of the Horde Campaign has not included with Three Chapters. this because split with The Frozen Throne. If i have custom campaign for Exodus of the Horde, i have Original Voiceover by Kostyarik. The Human Campaign has problem map loading is The Culling, Just because i was about playing enhanced campaign and it seems never work. Chapter 6: The Culling was fixed for Patch 1.24c, I figure if i have complete it later.
In Other words, I have been ported maps from Original Blizzard's Map. i decided porting map for Divide and Conquer as titled: The War of Aikatsu. Second, i decided working port for Emerald Garden, this would be Destiny of Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live. which currently i will porting original maps that i want.
Final: I have completely done when i play Warcraft III, it was simple: I play everyday when i have free time. if i have play some other games.

Everyone sucks when they try playing golf for the first time, except maybe that one guy.
Going to play Rayman 3 as soon as I finish this Algebra test.

Same I intend to play Rayman 3 after coming home from the car shop. But it’s going to be a LONG 3-5 hours.
