I guess it's a platformer.Anyway a brawl-like Rayman game would be nice too.In my opinion they should make a Rayman Kart for consoles.I love Mario Kart and Rayman Kart would be 10x better.Playing as Grand Minimus,Razorbeard,Ly or Henchman800 is just utterly perfect.

No, just no. That would be an epic commercial failure, and a terrible idea. A Brawl style game however would be good.

You know what? It would be pretty cool if they made a brawl-styled minigame in 'Legends. That would at least be better than a whole game that only focuses on the fighting. Super Smash Brothers already does that well enough.

Haha Rayman Kart. XD

All I really want to see from this game now is a decent storyline, and maybe something to clear up the confusion.

I'm kinda hoping the game manages to have a decent storyline, but also manages to retain the silliness whicb was abound in RO. I usually don't take things seriously, so the more humourous the story, the more likely I am to like it.

^ This :D

I'm also really curious to see more of Rayman Legends, because I don't like what I've seen so far. It would be cool if E3 shows us something new :)

The humour is IMPORTANT for the Rayman series right now, and I think it was well applied on Rayman Origins without having to copy the grotesque and immature humour of the rabbids (not that I dislike it, but toilet humour just doesn't fit with Rayman). I think Rayman Legends will use the same formula, however, I want so see more interaction between the characters and their personalities, I don't want to simply call them "you know...the 4 idiots who spend their time sleeping at the snoring tree". Rayman is the hero, Globox is the coward, and the Teensies are some crazy shit filled with randomness.

Err... sorry TK, but I'm with Rayfan here. Rayman has lost a big part of his fanbase due to his long absense and the rabbids. It's pretty sad, but it's true to say that a lot of gamers right now know more about the rabbids than Rayman's universe. Important titles such as Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends are what the Rayman franchise needs to regain strength, it's what the old fans are asking for, and what the new generation is interested in.

If Rayman returns to his spin off series RIGHT NOW, it would be a commercial failure. Rayman needs to regain popularity first. If he doesn't, the game will end like this:

As soon as you mentioned Jano, I started imagining how awesome the game would be with Jano as the main baddy. As long as they didn't make anything cliche like Bubble Dreamer/Polokus saying Jano, I am your father! And then Jano stopping being evil.
Ok, now I want Jano in Legends, just to see how Ancel would weave him into the story. Anyone else wanna see Jano?

ThisthisTHIS!

One thing that disappointed me about Rayman 1 is that most of the characters had little interaction and shown personality, I guess it leaves more to the imagination but the educational spinoffs told us more about Betilla and the Magician and their personalities that the original game. I hope Rayman Legends can give the characters some more depth, rather than the Bubble Dreamer being like "Oh yeah I remember that guy he wiped boogers under everyone's chairs".

Yeah, I approve of stuff being left to the imagination, I think it helps make games likeable - although not if its only that way because the story was really really badly written. I think Rayman 1 did the story element perfectly :D

That's one of the reasons I make so much Rayman 1 fanart and fanliterature, I really get to play around with the personalities and backstories. And the other reason is because limbs are hard to draw.

But back on topic, I am really hoping for a good story here, like I said before, I don't want Rayman Legends to be too focused on multiplayer minigames and time trials and such.

Heh, the lack of limbs certainly saves me time when making Party at Joe's :P

From all we've seen so far, that's all it seems this game is. New Rayman game? HA HA! GIMMICKS! EVERYONE LIKE GIMMICKS :fou:

Exactly :mryellow: !

I think I'm more concerned by the fact that the game doesn't look very Rayman-y so far. I like the shading, but the colours and worlds look a bit meh. You can't just throw together a bunch of gimmicks and call it a game! Still, I was scared about Origins too and it's actually now one of my favourite Rayman games, alongside Rayman 1 and it's spinofffs (always at number one and never moving :P) and Rabbids GBA (that's the platformer inspired by the Rayman 4 concept).

Anyway, I have another two exams tomorrow (why all the the same week? WHY?) so I better be going.
Truth be told, I'm working on another "the truth about" Flash animation for Legends in my super spare time. But I've had to put it on hold due to exams and the fact that the game hasn't been publicly revealed. But it should be fun!

As much as I love the artwork, I must say the worlds look a bit dull for 'Rayman'. Have a nice day/night, Electoon, it was nice tennis-posting with you! :mryellow:

Reminds me so much of the roleplays on the Spore forum and the chat room on Gorillaz-unofficial. *Sigh* Goot tiiimes.

Totally looking forward to this E3 thing, I hope they reveal the other playable characters and the storyline if there is one.
I want to know more, more, MORE!

Typically release trailers on E3 don't reveal too much the first time around, so if there is something new I don't suppose it will show too much we don't already know. If there is something, I expect it to be some new but brief preliminary gameplay footage and perhaps the possibility of a voice-over giving some story (although if Origins is anything to go by, expect a story that has nothing to do with the final game, confusing many :P). Having said that, the trailer will probably go "GIMMICKS! :fou:" and be done with it ;)

Anyway, back to work...

If they do some spin off like a Rayman Kart with normal Rayman characters, the classic ones, there wouldn't be any problem with people knowing more about Rabbids. And plus,I clearly stated for consoles. That image is from a phone game.
