I don’t have a copy of it myself, so no.

Fair enough, they’re certainly pretty pricey online. :oops2:

I snatched a sealed (English) copy for $8 some 5.5 years ago. Overseas shipping was $24, but that didn't stop me. :oops2:
I could scan mine, although high-quality scans of the English box are available online. Maybe they are copyright-protected, though?

I found clearer shots of the Hungarian box art on Vinted. The layout is the same but the text is translated; the one on RayWiki is definitely the English version. I have renamed the file and updated the article.

I'm currently replaying R1 on PC, and I've used up like 3 continues on the first encounter with Mr. Skops :ouin:

I've always found the actual fight with Skops to be dreadfully easy, but that first "fight" with him, I've always found a bit tough. :oops2:

(I also somehow managed to break the camera)

It doesn't help that the so-called demo of that level cuts off just before the most counterintuitive manoeuvre :boon:

It does? Ubisoft really didn't want anybody to beat that game

I also noticed for the first time today while cage-hunting that Rayman has a damage animation while crouching! Is this exclusive to the DOS version, or did I just never notice before in the other versions? I know that it wasn't in Redemption at the very least.

I didn't know this! You learn something new everyday I suppose.

Oh yeah, I remember discovering that a few years ago and being like "why didn't I know about this??" And then obviously forgot about it again until you posted it last night :fou:

I’ve known about this for awhile but now, this is going to be something interesting for the books… :bad:

So everyone knew about this but nobody bought it up in the assumption that it was well known and documented?

Isn't that the way most things work in communities like this? :hap:

The funniest thing about this specific community is that we are full of tech nerds and are hyper focused on the most random stuff.

Like there’s a person for everything it seems. Need version differences? Ask Dr. Need modding help? Ask Carrot. Need to know about specific lore? Ask Plum.

It’s honestly beautiful…

That sounds normal for a gaming community like this. Also who is Dr. Need

The full stop was for the end of a sentence, not for abbreviation! :P

Also Dr=Doctor_Saint.

I booted up Rayman 1 to try and beat it, but the sound effects don't work. I've tried rebooting the game, rebooting my system, nothing works (and yes I checked to make sure the sound was actually on).

Has anyone else ever encountered this issue? Would love a solution!

Which version of the game are we talking about? If it's the PC version - then what is your hardware and operating system?

Oh I probably should've mentioned what version I was playing

It's the PC version, my operating system is Windows 10, and I have a Intel Core i5-3470 CPU, and the graphics card is Radeon RX 570 Series. I'm running the game via Rayman Plus (I couldn't get it to run with RPC for some reason).

The sound effects worked just fine, then I disabled them for a time, but forgot to reenabled them before closing the program. No matter what I can't get them to work now. :?
