I disagree, as people have made similar comparisons to my own experiences which helped me through things in the long run, and sometimes in the short run. Sometimes the comparisons are abstract at most, but I find that hearing of someone who is in even an abstractly similar situation to you (or has been), and hearing how they dealt with it, is often a positive thing to compare, even if it's at the cost of relatability (which has never really happened when people make comparisons to my situations). Because it can literally give you methodical ideas on how to approach situations, and if not that, it can simply be inspirational (not because you see the person as greater than you, but knowing there are others who have succeeded in their trials can be a motivator, even if their trials have absolutely nothing to do with what you're going through).
I know this is not universal, as people with anxiety issues, for example, tend to actually find this a negative thing more often than not (they'll start beating themselves up for not being "as good" as others or lose confidence in themselves by knowing others are succeeding. They will end up thinking too much of the present situation, and not the possible actions they can take to rectify it). But I've found the majority of people I've come across appreciate hearing the experiences of others, regardless of relatability. I wasn't presenting my experience solely because of relatability (I never assume what I described in my deleted post could be relatable to anyone - it's too out there and out of the ordinary, so I'd be surprised if anybody connected with it, even though I've already met someone who does), but rather because inspiration and motivation can come from even the most bizarre of situations, even from someone saying "if I could handle it, so can you", which is more or less along the lines of what I was saying. Me saying something like that is actually a conscious gamble I make - it could motivate, or it could demotivate.
a contest of who has it worse
And while this was not my intention, and I avoid doing it as it's quite a dark and risky way of doing things - is this universally a negative thing? Having someone to contest with on any level is a good motivator and can create positive feelings. If someone felt like it was a contest of who has it worse, they could always be the better person and stop caring about that, and tell their "rival" that they resolve to fix their problems regardless of whether or not others have it worse. This is pretty much what I started doing, and is something I constantly do - my mother loves trying to be the center of sympathy, and constantly tries to make things a contest of "who has it worse", and I've found it to actually be a good way to feel better about myself! :V

-I have quite a bit of work to do.
-I'm worried about my physique right now.

-Still cranky about not getting my armor. (Armor=battle fatigues.)
My sergeants tell.me .that, due to the funding cut from that government shut-down, delivery to the military has been on the Fritz lately. Meaning I'm not getting my armor until.next.month. *sigh *
+/- Am now almost in the habit of calling my fatigues "my armor". Yay?

I know how you feel. Spend my whole summer in that vacation home and every single night I went on a hunt to kill mosquitoes and still got bitten. I think I killed easily over a hundred of the little buggers.

Still preferred them over the spiders though.
+ Yay I woke up earlier
+ Parents seem to be in a better mood so I think today will be alright
- I have homework. I really hope I can focus and not shove it to tomorrow "because it's weekend". It's just a little bit that should only take 20 minutes.
+ Time to get dressed and make up for yesterday's wasted time on fights.

-This Web Authouring assignment is so badly organised and conveyed and I don't even know if what I'm doing is correct in terms of the brief and I don't even know the true submission date. And it's wasting time I could be spending finishing my animation assignment which I have to drop in via late submission, and just relaxing and doing something productive that I'd WANT to do. And although I may get my new laptop tomorrow, I probably won't really get to do anything until the end of the week because this Web Authouring assignment through a wrench into the works and ruined all of my plans.

- Shit happened to me (which I don't really want to talk about in public) and now I have to live in a new house alone with my father. And no internet connection, that means I cannot download stuff or upload videos or join livestreams until my father arranges a new internet connection to this new house.

How are you posting here, then?
Also, I'm sorry you're going through a difficult time. Did a divorce happen?

I am terribly sorry. Assuming divorce happened, arent the kids older than 14 or some age like that supposed to decide with what parent they want to stay (of course if that parent agrees)? Wouldn't you want to stay in old house?

That happened already a long time ago, but for some reason my mom was mad at me and banned me out of the house.
Shit.

Nah she probably couldn't handle with the current situation and acted stupid but I can't be mad at her. She is still the person who raised me up and gave love and etc.

What situation?
And how can you NOT be mad at her for kicking you out of house? You are her son and she did that? I am not sure that is even legal to be done since you are under 18.

That's actually happened to me before, but only for a short period of time. The conflict is usually resolved.

No you misunderstand. She wanted me to go to my father. She didn't literally kicked me out.

Aw, sorry to hear that Emsho. I hope you'll get trough it.
+ Got a haircut
+ Think I'm gonna gonna go on a diet again
+/- Gonna maybe try to visit my real life friend every Sunday starting next week to give my mother the illusion that I'm really active outside the house or something. Yesterday I tried really hard to tell her what internet contacts mean to me and that I'm just not good at social situations and she replied with telling me that if my laptop breaks they won't buy me a new one and I should just "get over being socially awkward". :/ Well meh, not gonna get myself mad about that again. But anyway, visiting him will hopefully make her stop feeling like I'm always at home. The only downside is that sometimes visiting him can be really dull.
+ She did just remind me to clean my laptop better. I'ma do that today.

Well, what do you know. That sensation wasn't actually my astigmatism getting worse; it hasn't worsened by much at all! It's probably just because I'm overworked, then.

+ Went out of the house again, had a good time.
+ Picked up Spyro 2 and I'm looking forward to playing it since I haven't played it in years.
+ All around feeling really good today and I'm hoping it carries on, the year in general has been good to me compared to the Hell that was last year.
+ I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow, even if I'll have some finals bullshit, I just cannot wait to see my friends which is strange coming out of someone as quiet and withdrawn as me.
