Tricky Treasures are somehow back and a little harder, since I believe you are forced to save the Royal Teensies at the same time you pursuit the chest.
@Sergio I just hope RL won't turn out the desilusion as it was for me with RO by a whole.

I think judging by all info we have, it is less likely that RL will end up like RO.

Michel Ancel's declaration about his plans for RL make me a little more relieved though. He wants RL to act like R2, while RO tried to be like R1. If I interpreted this well, I believe that the community in general with definitely prefer RL over RO in its overall enjoyment.

Does this mean that the third UbiART installment will mimic Rayman 3?

That would be...interesting to say the least, a combination of the two most zaniest Rayman games could easily lead to some mindrape.

sergiomonty wrote:Hm, now that I think about it, my theory fits almost perfectly with spiraldoor's theory about evilness spreading like a virus (I didn't put that in transparent text, since I only mentioned something already known about the plot) I also heard Haruka is disappointed with the amount of levels Well Haruka, If I do my math correctly, the game still has a pretty big amount of levels. Let's remember that 60 levels makes enough for a full game, and Rayman Origins proves that. If that's not enough for you, half of the levels will feature an invasion mode (which, if I'm not wrong, are the last 30 levels of the game), and are basically like the comets in Mario Galaxy: after you finish a level, you are introduced into a new level with the same settings but with different objectives. The attack of different enemies, new platforms, and the excellent remixes (mexican version of Once Upon a Time, for example) will probably be enough to give a completely different experience. We have 40 levels from Origins, but that's not a big problem... especially when they're a bonus and you're not forced to play them You still have 90 gorgeous levels in the main campaign. Also, we have Kung Foot, a Challenge Mode, The biggest selection of characters in the Rayman series, and some sort of bingo-thing where you pay (probably lums) to get tickets to unlock stuff, like the Origins levels. It also has a gallery of "Creatures", which probably means we'll finally have a gallery that explores the Glade of Dreams' beautiful fauna :'D and probably collect more creatures with those tickets.
EDIT: I found this, Apparently, it's some french reporter talking about Legends. Not a big spoiler, but it shows some new levels.
-Blue Teensie Wizard confirmed to return as a playable character.
-Goth Barbara?
-Apparently, Tricky Treasure Chests will be back in Back to Origins -Baby Dragon Chefs return as enemies on the main Legends campaign.
I agree with your previous theory and how Polokus seems to be a bit better in Legends + Murfy being his sidekick and basically everything else you wrote, but we've already seen that in Back to Origins there was Playing in the Shade (albeit locked, the name was there). I actually had to ask Fat because I couldn't remember if it was the Ticklish Temples Moskito level or the Ticklish Temples Tricky Treasure level. It was obviously the latter.
It’s a video from the French website jeuxvideo.com, where you can watch a long presentation (one hour) of the preview version of Rayman Legends on Wii U.
Maybe it can interest you...
Beware, there are some spoilers inside.

I hope Legends won't have the same relationship to Rayman 2 that Origins had to Rayman 1. If it does, Murfy will inexplicably be an Electoon, and the climax will be a dance-off in Murfy's office, which will have an "I love Admiral Razorbeard" poster on the wall.

Maybe he thought that was how people made links.

You mean "I admire Admiral Razorbeard"

I don't mean to come across as a whingeing fan, but damn, what a colossal misstep!

Of course, neither do I want RL to be like that. I think people around here get my point and concern. It is an abstract feeling to explain but, I just want RL to have in mind the veterans of Rayman, not just the casual audience like it happened with RO.

I've got to agree with this. I somehow think this could have worked much better if they went ahead by keeping loyal to the original species. The result that this gave was confusion and some lack of impact to the oldest fans of the franchise. Returning to December of 2011, when I reached the Reveal level by myself, I was caught by surprise but I think my mind would have blown for real if it was the limbless Magician doing what this Teensie did in the cinematic. Something really didn't work out well.

It would have had a larger effect indeed. It would also be... well, creepier in a way if you replace the teensie with the R1 design in your mind, with the "He used to be one of the good guys and now we see him being a massive dickhole" plot applied.

sergiomonty wrote:To be fair... there is one, and let's be honest... it's way better than the crappy fanfiction-like plotline that Rayman Origins proposed. The story is simple, but functional, and the characters have even more personality than before.
I find it telling that the developers quietly chose not to bring Gabrielle Shrager back for Rayman Legends.

In my opinion it's the wackiness that keeps it from being one of the best Rayman games. In terms of gameplay I'm sure it is brilliant, but as much mystery or dark atmos you wanna put behind it all it's, in the end, still a game where Globox lost his brain cells and the villain is a teensie. If you were to take Legends and put it together with the tone of Rayman 2, then you'd have the result of a pretty fucking good game.

Hmm, Gabrielle Shrager was the lead writer and story designer of RO... I wonder who's in charge of that in RL.

Having seen some videos, we can say [about five Magicians:
1) After the battle with the mechanic dragon, Rayman kicks Ales to the planet. There are 5 holes in this planet,we can notice. (But I don't want to call them as Dark Teensies, because it's my idea and it was stolen!)
2) After the battle with a Giant luchador - rids of another Ales.
I wonder what about last 3 ones? Though we can guess that next bosses are Toad king, Fat dragon and Sea dragon.]
