Those decades really aren't special. It's just people praising a time that they spend their childhood or early adult years in. Just like there are people screaming "90'S KID!!" there are also already people talking about how much better the 00's were. What a "90's kid" or "00's kid" may not realise is that everything they had in their early childhoods still exist.. If you go to one of those idiotic 90's places you'll find them talking about things like playing Pokemon or watching Nickelodeon. I've done those things and kids today still are. The 80's or 90's would only worsen things due to the lack of communication we have today. 20 years from now people will be talking about how good the pop music of 2013 was compared to 2023's garbage.

I am so, so, so interested what pop music will be like in ten years from now. Aside from technology, it's probably the thing that intrigues me the most.

As do I. I'm wondering what genres will explode in popularity in the years to come and I've thought about that numerous times before.

I wonder what everything will look like in the future, considering that petrol is dying and that there shouldn't be any anymore in around 50 years according to my geography books in 2011. Honestly, technology, music and other things aren't really what I wonder the most about future but how will life as a whole look.
Because, this speaks a lot already.

Ehh, I disagree with that image. Both people of the '90s and now saw and see the future in that light. Need I mention the attitude that individuals during the early and mid '90s had?

I doubt they can milk the current sound much longer. Artists like Katy Perry can't forever be famous by releasing identical songs year after year. I imagine music is going to experiment with sound more and more. Nobody could have imagined something like Skrillex taking spots on the Top 40 ten years ago.

Yeah but ignore that 90 at the top and replace it with decades ago and there you go. Also, how do you know that, you weren't the one living during that time.

I have this book containing Donald Duck comics from the 60's. One of them is about Donald traveling to the future and finding one of those cities. This future age was the mid 90's.

Granted, that was a bit of a generalization.

And yet that portrayal of the '90s remains entirely accurate if you think about it.

Indeed. Bar the flying cars, and you've got a pretty good rendition of the modern day. Though, I think that again, that's more a representation of 2010 than it is of 1995.

Heck, I remember the 80s Transformers cartoon, the movie and its 3rd and 4th seasons took place in the mid 00s, interesting to see how they thought the future could be.

Human beings in general always seem to vastly exaggerate the future. Understandable.

I agree, I don't live in the future, only the present... I have a major problem, how sad I am, how sad I am, nobody knows how sad I am...

This topic must be resurrected.
I'd like to complain about society, but the angst has been milked out of me and I haven't the energy to type up lengthy paragraphs that no one will care to read either way. Besides, it's not like I'm the first one to complain about society.

I'm sure you'll have energy later. You should just take the time to write some of it, that way you'll save time next time you feel like this "Fuck it, I'm going to just write what I feel because I still need to unleash it". It's inevitable. You are going to type it up. So why not save yourself some time from your future self.

Nah, I have to go to bed soon and I'm tired of my whole "Woe is me" shtick anyways. Maybe later.

When this happens in a a place that is ridiculously high and literally has got as many stairs as the temple stairs of Kung Fu Panda:

Oooh, manual stair climbing, with that amount of stairs? Ouch.

And the photo doesn't show the real height. Adding the fact I am carrying few KGs of art material and general stuff, I arrive to the top dead.

This happens pretty much all the time in the underground but when actual stations close for engineering or whatever it's a LOT worse.
With the Crossrail in the works I'm sure we'll get that a lot for the next 5-6 years. -_-;;
