Glad to hear it!
Well, the game clearly doesn't auto-aim (at least not to a great extent), as you can see from the "D'OH!" moment in my first video. :P

Great findings about plums! It makes me think, maybe Droolie's Université Rayman should become a thing...

Re: Rayman 2

My thoughts exactly! :P
Well, I did manage to move the object on top of the first post up to the second level, in mid-air. It is indeed possible to throw the plum onto it, and it gets stuck in mid-air. If Rayman stands on the plum while it is stuck, that prevents the quiver-and-fall action from occurring, until he gets off. If he gets on while it is quivering, that cancels it, again until he gets off, at which point the delay is reset.
It's funny, the object in question had a name with "CheckP" in it, which I assumed meant "check prune", but I noticed there were other "CheckP" objects in odd places. So I moved one of the other ones as well, but it turned out that in that case it was "checkpoint", as in green lum. The one for plums had a name starting with "YAL", while the green lum had a name starting with "DS1". So are these dummy-objects in fact green lums with some properties changed?

Maybe they were just lazy when copy-pasting objects?

I don't know about that, since the "DS1" to "YAL" change has to mean something. Then again, we don't really know in what form they actually entered these names in the first place. Also might be worth noting that the only "post object" that RayTwol could find was the first one; the other two were missing. I think that means they're in a separate section of the file?

As far as I know the DS1 prefix is reserved for sound-related stuff. The other prefices are shorthands for the developers names. (MIC for instance being Michel Ancel, YAL probably being Yann Leclerc)

Boom. That makes sense. But the "DS1" entity was definitely a real green lum, although it didn't seem to include the "zone of attraction" for it (i.e. I had to jump right on it to activate the checkpoint). So there's more to it than sound…
I'll try to make a video about moving the plum-post around tomorrow.

Wait, SiIvagunner is doing high quality rips of Rayman 2? I don't follow the channel avidly, but I never thought I'd see Rayman there.

EDIT: Oh, looks like there's more than just Rayman 2. Awesome.

EDIT 2: Huh, so these are from a while back. Surprised I never came across these before, thanks for sharing, SpyroGuy.

I just found a copy of an old Rayman compilation disc which came with some extra things like a screensaver with Ly juggling, a windows theme (which someone apparently spent 40 hours making...) and two low resolution wallpapers. I thought I'd share them here in case anyone wanted to check them out since I haven't seen them mentioned anywhere before: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_HAsj ... sp=sharing

A Windows theme? Wow…

Done, over a week later. Yeah, the sound-quality leaves a lot to be desired, but I'd already made two failed attempts so I just wanted to get the thing out the door. :baille:

I thought those things were known already, I had all of them before the share including the Rayman 2 screensaver and Windows 98 theme.

Read this on the Rayman subreddit. It apparently pertains to the DC version only in form of a cheat.

It could easily be a "my uncle works at nintendo" type of thing but I wondered if there was any merit to this?

I recorded that video. :P

But is there really anything yet to reveal about it? I thought we already found everything that was to be found in Rayman 2 games.

Anyone got any info on the "globoxrules" cheat? I still can't figure out why it's mentioned everywhere even though I can't get it to work, neither during gameplay nor in the pause menu.

What's it supposed to do again? "Get all special powers"? That's pretty vague, so it wouldn't surprise me if it did nada. I remember trying it years ago, and nothing happening.

Hey there, I'm planning on playing all the Rayman 2 versions since it is my favourite Rayman, I've played: PS2, PC, GB, N64 and DS.

I think the ones left are PS1 and DC versions, I'd like to know if the DC is worth playing? (I ask this because its graphics, I think, are like from the PS2 and the emulation would be hard, maybe?) (I'd have to play it in emulator though, is there any DC emulator which emulates 100%?)

And is the 3DS version worth?

Thanks and regards :).

PS1 can be skipped, and DC is the best version of R2 (except for Rayman Revolution).

Tried Dolphin?

Isn't Dolphin the emulator for GC and Wii?
