Hello again guys,
On the RZ forums pok2 ( the maker of
http://www.wantedrayman.com ) decided to E-Mail ubi and say them to make a patch for rayman m for online possibilities. And he asks ( if you want the patch too ) to write an email to
[email protected] with the subject 'I want a Online Rayman M patch', and say your name. All names he get he will use as signature ( like Drolpiraat, pok2, RaymanNL, and so on. ). So are you thinking it'll work? I'm thinking not.

It's always worth a try, but it's not getting many signatures. I extremely strongly doubt something like this would ever work.

1. Barely anyone would sign.
2. UbiSoft would rather make Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, etc then Rayman, right?
3. Petitions don't make people's decisions.
4. Don't servers cost money to maintain? You do realize that Rayman M/Arena is extremely unpopular and is the worst-selling [real] Rayman game of all time?
5. Patches? That would only be possible for the PC version. PC controls are hard on non-FPS games, seriously.

And if they made a patch, they would have to make it internationally online.
6. Uhh...

Today there is a new kind of online community called Social Networking Models. When an online community is powered by a Social Software, the software is designed to place certain limitations on the users and how relationships are formed, particularly when two strangers make initial contact. The number one advantage of this is the users’ behavior is regulated because the software sets a limit on the amount of contact they have with each other, as opposed to the physical world where the boundaries of interpersonal communication and appropriate behavior lie on societal norms and etiquette, which can easily be broken.

There is a Local Network support in Rayman Arena - if you redirect all the packets from your 2nd home computer's IP address to a remote computer's IP address, the online multiplayer will work.
I don't know why Ubi didn't release the final version of Rayman Arena with internet gaming support... There is a screenshot in the game manual with an 'earth' icon but in the final version, there is only 'two connected computers' icon.

Update: It's a pity that Rayman M was the worst-selling Rayman game

- I hope it changes when they release the Rayman 10th Anniversary collection. It's really great fun, the reviews say it too:

The great printed game magazine Level gave 90% to Rayman M.
Maybe it's because the lack of online gaming support.

I agree, it's the worst Rayman game, but it's still a good game.
