r/thetenthdentist. I don't know what is r/thetenthdentist about (maybe about unpopular opinions?), but I know what's r/fiftyfifty and, honestly, I wouldn't like to randomly see a disgusting image, I can't really see the fun there.

I don't totally understand what you are asking, but I will choose to play consoles that are over 20 years old. (I think that is probably what you meant, I'm going with it) Reason being, the consoles will be cheaper, and I will be more familiar with the games on them then newer consoles. Also, there will be a lot less focus on live service games and more so on games being complete without any extra addons.

Bungie, or Activision Blizzard?

(That is a fair point about the consoles, the thing that really sucks is the live service thing. Something about the older games is always so nice.)

I'm going to go with Activision Blizzard because I have a bit more nostalgia for them. Even though I didn't play much of it back then, World of Warcraft was still pretty nifty to me. They did have several other amazing games such as Starcraft. I don't have much experience with bungie or I simply cannot recall much, other than the Minecraft server integration known as bungie cord.

Now what would you pick, Final Fantasy 14 Online or modern World of Warcraft.

I pick Final Fantasy 14. Reason, I enjoy using my controller with the game, and I get to play with my good friend Hoodcom. Also, I have played many Final Fantasy games in the past, so I am more familiar with it.

Xbox or Sony?
I want to go with Sony because I had the PS1 along with a multitude of Nintendo consoles. I didn't really get an Xbox until much later. So I have more childhood fondness of Sony, especially with games like Spyro the Dragon and Twisted Metal on the Playstation in general. Plus even by today I probably have the most games in my overall Playstation library than I do Xbox. Especially in the PS2 department.

How about Sega or Atari?

I would have to say Sega, because of the fact I grew up playing the Mega Drive / Genesis at the time, and I just love the games and music the Genesis had. Those songs can produce some mean bass and really cool synthesiser sounds like you'd hear in the 80s, and honestly since I make chiptune, I want to get into making some more YM2612 stuff, it's capable of amazing things! My only experience with Atari though is the fact I have the Jaguar and Rayman, and what I may have played on emulators briefly for the older ones, but of course I would like to try play more retro stuff of the likes.

Digital or physical games?

Heh, that's why you're Stereo Steo, you enjoy the things like I do. That's an awesome experience man!

I want to say physical all the way for me, because they're certainly more tangible. Generally when it comes to digital the services will eventually go away and you'll no longer be able to get your games back. Physical at least is more of a guarantee, especially with the older games. Especially the nice big box classics I love and enjoy.

It's also nice being able to look at your game shelf and see your collection, it just feels it holds far more value, where digital can just... poof go away one day, unfortunately. :tssk:

On the topic of physical games, Limited Run Games collections or regular video game releases, be it digital / physical in some cases?

Regular releases, usually cheaper, and all I care about is getting the game.

Honestly I agree with physical all the way too. Of course when it comes to things such as Gamepass on Xbox or playing on a PC, I'll accept digital in those cases. I actually don't like that they're trying to do away with physical media so much, to the point you can buy versions of modern consoles with no disc drives. I hope they don't start making future consoles digital only, I always felt like you don't truly own the game if it's digital for some reason.

I'd like to get more into Limited Run collecting also at some point, I don't have anything like that as of now though.

___

I guess third person, I always liked the idea of having that kind of view where it feels more like you're watching a movie or just spectating the player. I like that perspective a lot more and it makes you appreciate the models more, whether it be cars or just people.

When it comes to shooting games, run and gun, or strategy / stealth?

I'm going with 2D. Mostly due to nostalgia, and since 2D is the thing of the past, whenever someone does it in modern times, it's always fresh and fun because it's doing something aesthetically pleasing while using an old technique.

Rayman 2, or Rayman 3?

You know, I can honestly agree with the nostalgia factor in your choice of 2D as well, but I do have a fondness for early 3D too, like Descent on DOS since I grew up with that. :)

For the choice, I will pick Rayman 3 since that's what introduced me to the community and friends I met in the mid 2000s. That's what drove me to join forums like this one and meet people. It has such a huge impact on my life.

Technically I did play Rayman Arena first on my brother's Gamecube, I liked it enough I wanted it, but when we went shopping for a copy, I only could find Rayman 3 for the Gamecube so I happily picked that up.

I especially loved the voice lines, gameplay, levels, music, and overall sense of humor in this game. (Like I loved the sense of humor in the Ratchet and Clank series.) So Rayman 3 will always hold a special place for me for a multitude of reasons, especially he main one I listed above.

So how about this, Ratchet & Clank or Sonic the Hedgehog?

I figured you would pick Rayman 3! I will pick Ratchet and Clank because I prefer the type of platformer it is to Sonic the Hedgehog. I don't think the original would really hold my attention, at least compared to Sonic Advance 3. Also because there would be more story baked in, and I have always been meaning to play it. (In fact, I intend to get it on Steam)

Batman, or Superman? (Been watching Batman vs Superman lately)

Heh, you know me too well! I remember Sonic Advanced 3 a little fondly too, it was the only GBA Sonic game I owned.

I'm going to go with Batman, because I'm a huge fan of Batman: The Animated Series as well as the Arkham games. I honestly hated the Batman vs Superman movie, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I can find myself to re-watch Batman TAS anytime at least, or replay the Arkham series games though. In fact maybe I should replay Arkham Origins soon due to the Christmas theme, and that season is upon us! :noel:

Teen Titans (The good one) or Gravity Falls? (This would be hard for me to pick personally since I love both!)

I will pick TV shows, since that way there is more to be shown story wise, more content to consume. It's harder to adapt content into one movie.

Comics, or Manga?
