Rayman Pirate-Community

Hello all,
On this Monday, august 8th, 2005, Pirate-Community is two years old. In fact, after being entirely devoted for several months to the official community, the RaymanZone, posting over 6000 messages, I was unfairly removed from the French and English staffs, by the fault of envious, crooked, traitor, scheming members, almost all took advantage of my disfavour.
I thus created the Pirate-Community, a forum in which « justice » would be the main idea.Thereafter, I was banned from the official community, because of degenerated and foolish people, and especially by the fault of one very person with no scruples, prone to utopic delusions. But I don't think I would ever have created this haven of justice if all what I related above hadn't happened.
The Pirate Community was born. It was popular and active since its beginnings. But I won't tell you its story, the historical review we're currently working on will inform you better than I ever could, for sure. 44150 messages have been posted during the first year, and 46888 during the second, making the PC the most important Rayman community. But now, it's time to pass on the torch. My admission, this year, to engineer studies, is no more compatible with a full-time administration of such a wide community. What Pirate-Community became thanks to me (but also to many members), I'm proud of it. You understood it, the prosperity of the PC is a great stake, and the one who is able to take up the gauntlet is Romano Production. You already know Romain, a friend of mine, competent and sympathic moderator, a computer master, who will administrate the technical part of PC. Please welcome my successor, the hard task of preserving the PC is his responsibility. During my absence, which should last at least 2 years, I hope my memory will be honoured, and I also hope you, members, will do your best in order to preserve this forum you love.

There are four kinds of Social Networking Models, the first of which is the Explicit Network. Explicit Networks are called as such because anyone can just browse through the identities and connections of the people who belong in the community. Connections are made by stating identities, interests, and associations, and by introducing yourself to someone based on who he claims to be or know.

There were and continue to be, several men to the development of this course, not least of them the electronic component. I developed this course as an independent, adjunct instructor in a matter of a few months, left largely to my own devices. There were cross-platform issues to deal with; the need to quickly design an application that would be easy to use and reliable; software distribution and assignment submission issues; and the electronic equivalent of paperwork in order to keep track of student progress, grading, etc. Nevertheless, students have responded to the course generally favourably. I was pleased upon reviewing course evaluations for the spring term that many students singled out the helpfulness of the meaning/value paradigm in increasing their understanding of the course material.

A Conversational Arse is the most personal of all four because introductions are made through actual communication instead of just a profile or a list of interests. The medium of Conversational Networks are weblogs or blogs, which is a journal published on the Internet that contains a mixture of what is happening in a person’s life as well as the latest web trends. Blogs are updated regularly and can be maintained even by people with little technical knowledge through the use of a program or script. What happens is that a person read someone’s blog, and then gets a general idea of the author based on what he or she writes in the blog. One can even participate in someone’s blog by adding comments on their entries. Bloggers—those who own and write in blogs—have the choice to ignore their readers or reciprocate by reading and placing comments on the blogs of their readers. Then they can develop a more personal relationship through e-mails, chat, or an eyeball, a term used for people from the Internet who meet face-to-face for the first time.

You can do all your training on a non-Windows computer like a Mac. However, some of the examples in our advanced classes require a newer version of Windows, like Windows 98 or Windows 2000.

Most recently, I am in the process of revising the course opportunity, responding both to student input and to my interests in the larger story of visual representation and the opportunities afforded by the database model. For the first two terms, I organized the course on a largely traditional chronological model, with design, fine art, writing, illustration filtered through my attempt to revisit the entire history of visual representation according to a design-dominant paradigm. I have now re-organized the course such that each lecture now encompasses both the historical and the contemporary, presenting a slice of the database pie; a story, in other words, that begins with a database sort of visual images.
