Art Tatum - Tea for Two
Just started listening, and this is certainly an interesting take on it!
Art is quickly becoming one of my all time favourite pianists, since I started listening several weeks ago. His interpretations are not only incredibly impressive and technically unmatched, but if you can look past the blazing speed of his playing his harmonic and rhythmic choices are really quite surreal and beautiful.

Oh no is this the original version of Kelly Clarkson's song?
Nah it’s a rock song from the late 70s.

I recommend any records from the collection "The Art Tatum Solo Masterpieces". Volume two is my favourite for the inclusion of this track and several other great ones, like his take on the classical piece Elegy originally by Massenet. I think Tatum can be somewhat of an acquired taste though.

I'm just listening to some music I was working on for Polokurse while typing this, specifically some 90s based club style music for something.

Funnily enough, just 15 minutes ago my dad sent me a clip from the BBC Proms the other week where pianist Yuja Wang plays this very piece! Tatum's version of Tea for Two, albeit one of his earlier arrangements of the tune. At 38:40 if you have access to iPlayer.

The one downturn of this year for me was that this topic was not active enough and I was not able to share with you guys all the songs I wanted (I had tons prepared for tonight, all videogame ones)
Oh well maybe another time...
