He is one of my favourite villains in the series.
It's a shame that many later characters don't reach the same standard. There are some villains who were supposed to be funny in a similar way, but most of them just end up being annoying.

Who are you thinking about ? If you're thinking about the Noro Noro sucker, Foxy or whatever, I agree, but most of the villains are cool.

Yeah, I did have Foxy in mind. Imo, the only "funny" villain who does get close to Buggy is that guy with the metal jaw who becomes what he eats (what's his name?).
My favourite villain in general is Crocodile.

It's Wapol, but I hate this guy too... he's not meant to be funny, he's designed to be incredibly annoying.
Crocodile is awesome indeed. Do you read scanlations ? (Don't want to spoil you...)

Yeah, and sadly some of text is pretty stupid at times. It's not a big deal though.

Without going into much detail, my personal favorite includes the Higurashi series as a whole(the first, Kai and Rei), Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha(don't be fooled, it's much more of a deconstruction of the genre) and of course, Gurren-Lagann.
Am currently watching King of Braves GaoGaiGar, for just the sake of some stupid entertainment. XD

Raylex, One Piece has been running since '97 and has over 570 chapters by now...I think you'll be reading it for a looooooong-looooong time XD
Actually, its size is the only thing keeping me from watching the anime/reading the manga, even though I've been told hundreds of times that it beats the ever-loving crap out of almost every other long-running series.
