For the eighth time, Pirate-Community is organising a posts in a day record. Here is a short description for those of you who joined recently:

The whole thing is quite simple: it consists in posting the most possible messages in a predetermined time span of 24 hours. The goal is not only to break a new record every year or bring more activity to the forums, but also to shuffle our topics in order to bring new discussions for the following year.

This is not a spam contest, and useless messages are obviously not welcome. However, the special conditions during the record day will be the cause of a certain leniency, especially as concerns old topics, which can be bumped freely.

The record was once again beaten last year, with an outstanding total of 19710 messages! The rewards rise to the occasion: each post is worth 15 Tings within the given time span, and then come the bonus Tings: 1500 for participating, 1500 for beating one's previous posts in a day record, and 3000 Tings for the winner. For example, someone once ended up with the staggering amount of 56885 Tings that day.

As for the date, I suggest Saturdays July 6th and 13th from 0.00 AM to 12.00 PM (GMT+2), which will have to be adjusted depending on your time zone (feel free to post your time zone here if you aren't sure). For instance, it would be from July 5th or 13th at 11.00 PM to July 6th or 13th at 11.00 PM in the UK.

Wow, awesome! This'll be my first posts-in-a-day-record-...day? That's a weird name haha O_o. Maybe we'll breach 20,000 posts this year... looks like you got close last year.

I'll be honest, I have no idea if I'll have availability or anything to do in either 6th July or 13th July so I'll take a risk and voting for 13th July. I really don't think I can beat my previous record but I'll try to participate at least.

I'm going to be away on the 13th, although funnily I come back from another holiday on the 5th. Not that I plan to do another all nighter I'm fairly content with winning last year and smashing the record.

Oops, now I read the thing better.

It seems the 6th is the more convenient option, alas I'll be returning from a trip on the 5th, so I might be a little knackered, but hopefully not too much so, so I guess even if it isn't the most convenient option for me, I'm sure I'll be capable of participating non the less.
In the meantime, the excitement builds.

Hmm, I have no idea yet. It'll most likely be both with me, but I won't vote until I know more about my July events. There's a chance I may only be able to make one, and if only one, probably the sixth.

Got a hen night on the 6th so I'm leaning towards the 13th.

I honestly have no idea about my avaibility in July, it will mostly depends of my exam's results.
So...Either one or another doesn't bother me much I think. I just hope I won't get busy that day. Oh well, I'll go for July 13th.

13 is really lucky number for me so I think my vote is obvious.

Well, I am most likely avalible at both dates so, if Hunch said not to pick fav numbers, I might as well vote both.

I will surely participate.

I have a feeling that the majority of the voters still haven't read the first post properly.
