Rayman Pirate-Community

Hi all,

New moderators are going to be chosen for the English section of Pirate-Community, and we have decided, like we did in 2009 and 2011, to let the interested members apply for this position.

If you believe you've got what it takes, please send a private message to the English Moderators group, introducing yourself and explaining why you want to be part of the team and why you think you would do a good job.

The list of the applicants will not be divulged, and the final decision is at the sole discretion of the moderating team.

As concerns applicants, there are no absolute criteria, but a certain seniority, a strong dedication, a good knowledge of Pirate-Community, a proper spelling and intellectual qualities are indeed required.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, June 14th 11:59 PM (UTC+1). Do not rush into sending them, as we will carefully read them.

Hm, it's been only two years since last time, not to pry, but any reason why?

I guess this is because a lot of moderators have not been very there these days.

The example of spamming bots is enough : Haruka was the only one here to carry the ban hammer during one week.

However, to my mind this is also the exam period for everybody : maybe some moderators couldn't be as available as they could because of that.

This is a suggestion, not a statement.

If this serves as a motivation, the new moderators will be my teammates .

We believe the moderating team needs to change as the community evolves. More details will come soon.

Actually, she was only able to delete their messages, Stacey banned them. That was just the two of them though.

If anyone feels like applying but fears they might not have time to do so by the deadline, please contact us and we'll try to arrange something. I can't think, however, of many situations where someone motivated enough would not be able to find a half-hour time span in eight days to write a proper application.

It's not difficult at all, especially if you have any form of internet access, such as a computer, phone, or tablet.

This looks like fun, but I don't think I'll be participating. I just can't picture myself as a mod.

Hmm, I'm not sure, I've been here for almost two years now, and I believe I've contributed immensely, but I'm not sure if my contributions are yet sufficient.

I've tried twice and failed twice so i'm not too sure.

It isn't harmful to try out anyway. I also hadn't luck the first time I candidated myself, but I (surprisingly) got accepted in the second attempt. We never know!

I guess I could try then.

From my view, you've proven yourself to be a very consistent mature member of the community, much moreso than I've managed to be over the course of the four years I've been here. I think you'd do just fine!

I'm just worried that my slight temperament might hinder my chances if perceived poorly by the onlookers. Nonetheless, I'll be sending in an application, there's no way I wouldn't. I'm as determined as ever to become a part of the team!

Considering my English level and the fact that I've been here for less than a year, I won't apply. Maybe next time...

I encourage all the interested members to send us an application. Competition will be stiff, but even if you're not chosen your interest will be remembered.
