Michel Ancel: The Man, the Myth... The legend.

Michel Ancel: Creator of Rayman. He's a legend in the gaming comumunity and his exploits have taken the industry to new hights. His majesty is only matched by that of Nicholas Cage and Jesus Christ.
In all seriousness, he's been one of my heroes since I was a kid and I was wondering what the rest of the community feels about him and everything he's done.

Sigh... I was really hoping this thread would have gotten a little more traffic. Whatever.
So Mr. Rulez, looks like it's just me, you and destiny or whatever.
Tell me, what does it take to fit in around here?

But you've just created this new topic? It will take a little more than mere minutes to pick up.

Patient you must be young pad-wan...

Not all topics garner great attention, though I still don't understand the compulsion, I've only made one topic here, and that's for an official RPC contest, I've never actually made a thread like so.

Either way, of course, we have a lot to thank Michel for, for instance, if it weren't for him, this community, the people, and the friendships and conversation made here would never have existed.

Ahh... Serves me right for trying to use this stupid iPhone to do everything. I thought this went up about a few days ago...
Thankyou for pointing that out though.

Maybe stomping my feet like a bratty toddler and making threads isn't the best way to win over anyones heart. I didn't intend to do so, but I guess I was just looking for attention on this forum.

Come now, the best way to go around is to contribute, like I said earlier, the only thread I've made was for a competition, not something like this, yet I've still gotten to quite a position merely for adding my voice to other conversations, sometimes, you can start a convo, other times, just join in.

Master is your catchphrase "Come now" or something?

Michel is an amazing man, his mind is full of creativity and innovation that I never even thought was possible. He is my favorite game developer of all time for this reason. I truly look up to him and follow in his footsteps. :) I actually could write quite possibly an essay on how much I look up to him, I'll save something that long for another time.

I would love to read that. If you ever end up doing that could you send me a link?
What I admire the most is the fact that he actually has a personality. His dev team loves him and though he is willing to stand up for his fans (like with the Rayman Legends delay) he still makes the best of what he was given.

I sure as heck will! Writing something big like that would play quite an important part in my life :)

When people say this, they're usually referring to shutting the fuck up and taking it. Whereas when you say it, it's in the context of making his influential voice heard, which I believe is really making the best of it indeed.
