Hello, I've contributed some... embarrassing work to this forum, even though I am a massive fan of rayman, so i'm going to contribute something actually half decent... decent from me anyway, here's the introduction / trailer to my unnamed rayman sprite animation. Sprite animations are still cool, right?!

Apologies for the very terrible quality, i'm rushing because I want to finish the first "chapter" of my movie enjoy, it's pretty short and sweet, and yes, that was mr dark at the beginning but he isn't in the movie.

I think the least you could do is animate Rayman running, honestly. All that's been done is you moved a static sprite from left to right.

Oh boy here goes a big one.
Before you get all mad at me, let me just say I use to make sprite movies, I look back at how awful they were.

1.) Why is your text so big?
2.) The introduction with the notepad text, it's as if you have not heard what WMM or Vegas is.
3.) The way Rayman was animated was really stiff.
4.) I can understand that was an introduction video to your sprite series but I found it so utterly pointless, if you are going to make a 9 second video for that matter, at LEAST be decently animated.

You aren't going to get far in sprite animating if you aren't using Flash, I HIGHLY recommend you do. I quit making sprite animations long ago.

No need to be hostile, he was merely giving genuine criticisms, given from what he had known of the animation.
Anyways, yeah, I think, you might want some more practice, as it stands, it's meh, really, much like my old sprite stuff really.

5.) Then your skills really have to improve as the animation is horribly stiffy, and really choppy. It was literally just Rayman walking to the right. Even the name of the TOPIC is 'SPRITE MOVIE'. And as you said yourself...

You may think I'm trying to bash you here but I'm truly trying to offer you friendly critique, if you're going to act all upset to such a thing then you're acting extremely childish. Ok, I can't believe I'm saying this, but you are acting childish, fair enough, some cusses were thrown, but as the others have said, they're trying to give you honest pointers, you may not be a pro animator, but at the very least, show some humility, don't be up yourself, honest criticism can be harsh, either learn to accept that, or continue to act like so, this is a friendly community, but it is also a community that values common sense and constructiveness.

If you want to believe that this is all bullying, then so be it, I see people trying to help you, me included.

I did not abuse you, I was only saying it how I saw it. You made a piece of test animation, which you put no effort into, and then treated it like it was the best thing ever made, I understand f your proud of it, but there was no need to be rude to us for disliking it, and at that, giving you advice on how to make it better.
You know what? get out, your being a hypocritical piece of crap, and we don't want you here to spoil the day.

Then why are you still talking to me, Sith? ... Common sense, if you don't "want me to spoil the day", just ignore me? be mature? And no, you can't tell me what to do, i can stay here as long as I want.

Then if you do plan on staying here, at least show you can be mature about things and learn to take the criticism we're giving you.

Being told to "flush your programme down the toilet" after making a spirte movie myself is not exactly what I call mature dude.

The problem is, he thinks what he's seen on Newgrounds is mature.

God fucking damn it, do you want us to lick your ass and say what you've done is flawless and fantastic? We're people who give criticism to help your work evolve, not parents who praise you for taking a shit. This is nothing spectacular, and Brandon (Rayfist) explained what was wrong.

You keep saying it's a test, and I agree - it's a test of patience for us.
