Except for the processor, which has an excuse, the PoS3 has nothing more than what 360's have--including graphics. The PoS3 only features a card with a core that is 7800GTX. Right now, we have 8800GTX cards available. (So much for top-of-the-line) The card was improved very little and just shoved in the console to get it shipped. The Xbox360's is actually much more advanced, and as we'll see in the future, it will have clearly superior graphics. (The Elite also has HDMI support and a 120GB hard drive, as opposed to the 20/60GB hard disks of the PoS3.) Then there's the games--so far, nothing remarkable has really appeared on the PoS3 without already being on another platform. I am interested in MGS4, though I'm not paying $660 for it.
On my Mac I use 1280x960, on this notebook I use 1280x800, and on my other desktop I use 800x600. The 800x600 one is only because my monitor is way old. (My graphics card is an nVidia GeForce 6800XT for AGP8X) I oughta get a new CRT monitor for it soon to make better of the video card. On my other 2 notebooks (old ones at that), I used 800x600.
Reminds of the last time I was toying with the settings for Unreal Tournament 2004 and had the resolution set at 320x240. It started to hurt my eyes a bit focusing. (I have 20/50 vision, heh, and nearly 15/50. At least UT2K4 improves vision.)
