Looking it up, there's no topic for this, so, why not make one to discuss this pretty neat franchise?
Right then, let's discuss the exploits of the famous Bounty Hunter: Samus Aran. Her fights have raged upon many planets, from Zebes, to Tallon IV, to Aether and to sentient worlds. Finding and collecting powers and traversing many dangerous obstacles, this hunter is renowned for her skill and exploring prowess, and the series she has featured in is loved by many. So, why not chime in and discuss this wonderful series?

The only one I played is Metroid Prime and its one of my favorite games for the GameCube. I love how the game is just oozing with atmosphere and I always felt immersed into the world. The soundtrack is also nothing short of brilliant. I have the 2nd and 3rd game too but i want to go back and finish the first game before I try those.

Oooh, I think I know what you're on about, does it mention about weird temperatures or something like that? The room you're going to contains the Ice Beam.

If you're in the room, you'll need to boost ball up to the door.

Ahh ok cheers,Im on my way there now. I was all the way in Magmoor Caverns for some reason, I hate traversing through there, especially due to the fact I forgot about double jump and kept falling in the lava tehe.

Hm, I personally hate it when I can't double jump, once I got the Space Jump, it feels much better in terms of navigating, first person platforming can be finicky at times.

True, i had trouble with the aiming as well at first due to it being quite different to more traditional shooters such as Halo and Killzone. It's one of those things though where once you get used to it alongside the strafing and switching through abilities, it all ties together nicely.

I have played some Metroid, but I haven't got a chance to properly get into it. I want to though.
I was playing Super Metroid recently, but I got stuck in it, and I'll probably start a new save file when I come back to it.
I own the Metroid Prime Trilogy Collection, but I have not touched it yet. I need time for games like Metroid, as I like to really explore them.

played metroids gba remake and other M, and have not beaten the former. i've heard they are making another metroid and i hope this one doesnt get so jacked! definity think samus's "backstory" and pussy attitude from other M needs to be non-canon, now! not what i would have expected from a badass bounty hunter.

I haven't really played Other M, so I tend not to mention it, lest I say things which I have no real idea about.

So I saw the Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii and it cost like $50. I heard they're really good games, but I'm on fence because I don't like the original NES game. Should I get this pack?

Only for $50? Get it, that game can cost over $100 for its rarity.

Used ones are sold high as well since not many copies exist.
