As far as making videos goes, what do you guys use to edit? I've been fucking around with regular Movie Maker for a while but not only does instantly uploading to YouTube no longer have support, but choosing to then instead render a video takes fucking forever - like 8-10 hours, more if you actually use your PC meanwhile.

I use Sony Vegas Pro 13. Renering time takes at most 30 minutes based on my processor (Core i7). I can give you the setup files if you want.

I use Magix Videodeluxe 2008, quite an oldy but quite efficient.

I use KDEnLive (on Linux). It's fine, it has enough options to do what I want to make and be creative, and is relatively easy to handle.
I don't remember the software I used the only time I had to work on Windows. I spent at least an hour finding a correct video editing software, and wasn't really satisfied with the one I stuck with.
However, I heard really good things about HitFilm 4 Express. For the few that I've seen, it looks great. I'll certainly try it if I need to use Windows again.

I like Kdenlive too but I don't use Linux on my desktop and there isn't a Windows version. However I have also been looking for some video editing software and I gave HitFilm a try and I'm really impressed with it's capabilities, even in the free version, so thanks for that recommendation.

Oh that's funny I've been using Hitfilm 4 Express since I got my new computer and I'm finding it useful from what I've seen so far...apart from jumping through a few hoops to get the text tool to work.
As a result I finally got round to putting my old Rayman Megadrive remixes on Youtube now and they're here on my "new" (or created in 2013 but never used until now) channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... ckcFBW_LwH

I already said what I thought of it in the French forums, but it is awesome ! I even think that your accent makes it even better.

Thanks to you for making me discovering KDEnLive, I made a few videos with it and I'm pretty happy of the results, but... The thing is a glitchbag, I have to save every fifteen seconds to make myself sure to not loose my work.
Today I used Adobe Première for the first time, it was in my computer for a long time now.

KDEnLive's a glitchbag now? I remember when Itooh first recommended it to me it was to escape from OpenShot, which was in a similar situation at the time! I've been trying Pitivi lately, not sure what to make of it. Also I agree with ^ about Pirez' accent.
As I alluded to on other threads I'm doing a bit of a Let's Play now, but it's not off to a great start.

Well, after a month of deliberations and unveilings, it appears that my Megaman Star Force Abridged episode was predictably not in the top 30 of Team Four Star's Abridging competition. A bit of deception, but seeing the overall quality of the competition, it's only logical.
Plus, I can hold to my motto : "I lost, therefore everybody cheated".
