Your YouTube Channel

What do you use your YouTube channel for (if you have one)? What kinds of videos do you post?

Me, personally, my channel is currently dedicated to commentary-free game walkthroughs, both Rayman-related and not. I try to make the gameplay in my videos as good as I can, and rarely show deaths. I don't like LP-ing since I don't feel comfortable making a video of my first time playing through a game, for the most part. I'd rather just play by myself, having the freedom to play the game how I like, and not have it be compromised.

Hm, looking it up, a thread like this doesn't exist. Odd.

Either ways, mine hasn't really been used for anything as of late, I want to get into the lp or just playthrough scene, but I'm limited by what I have, unfortunately.

I have one too but I haven't uploaded a video in a year or so. I will use it later, maybe for drawing videos or some development diaries.

I used to upload music but eventually I got too annoyed by Movie Maker making my whole laptop slow and needing 20 minutes for a 3 minute video to convert if I used Internet. Now I don't really upload stuff because I have nothing interesting to show.

I have a few things on mine - silly stuff I made when I was younger, some gameplay, a glitch I discovered before anyone else in a particular video game, and a video where I did some voice acting to show my interpretation of John Egbert and Karkat from Homestuck (wasn't perfect, but eh, I tried).

My YouTube channel is used for two endings:

- To record walkthroughs of videogames in its purity (commentless), with the goal of helping gamers in trouble and to entertain spectators. It is known for being the channel with the biggest number of walkthroughs from different Rayman games and console versions, officially affiliated with RPC and having my videos as its main reference.

- To archive the publically known Rayman's promotional videos, interviews, trailers and publicities and be easily accessible to any Rayman fan. My channel is also the biggest one in this kind of content.

I also watch many videos of course but I rarely comment.

I use my YouTube channel to talk about games, make Gameplay videos while doing a commentary (Let's Plays) to entertain viewers and also upload other random videos. It will also be nice to be able to look back at those videos when I am over 60 years old.
Right now, Google+ ruined commenting on YouTube

I know. :( Last time I checked, you couldn't even reply to comments anymore.

My Youtube channel right now just includes my The Adventures of the RPC Members and maybe a few Rayman videos soon.

My channel, thedragonofrainbows, is mostly my iElectribe songs, as well as some other miscellaneous stuff like Spore videos and a couple of Rayman things.

I just let it be, I value being able to discuss things on YouTube, like with Glue, I've made my G+ profile as minimalistic and private as possible though.

My brother also connected because he wanted to be able to comment. I think I will stick with Private Messaging on YouTube. I did a few test messages with some people and it does work. But still, my bro hates G+ as well and he made a rant:

I use my channel for posting my music mostly. I'm also considering a second channel for some comedy videos of some sort, but organising it has been slow.

I actually wished there was an option to stop asking me to trade my YouTube name for the Google+ name. It is getting on my nerves.

Ah I see similarities. No doubt he is truly your little brother.
No pig uses Google+. It's just a worthless move to bring google more money by selling our privacy to the NSA or whatever.

Yay, thank you Emshomar and ZeptoRay for your subscriptions! :D

I think I'm just gonna ignore this whole Google+ issue for as long as I can. It's not like I really need to comment stuff anyway.

Apparently, Google is looking "looking into" making it possible to reply and vote on the older style of comments.

I'm sick of this shit. I'm honestly thinking of moving to another website now.

@OCG It's interesting how your brother sounds like a younger version of yourself. :P
