Update: The demo is 75% done, expect it to be released tomorrow

I also created a new costume and here is what it looks like. Try to guess the name of the costume.

Is it an ice or water related costume?

Actually I first wanted it to be a water costume, but I changed the name it after I made it. Hint: It looks very similar to one costume in Rayman Legends

It's starting to look real fancy. Now you just need some fall-off from that lighting on the wall and it'll look pretty neat!

Thanks for the tip. I just started working on the lighting yesterday and I think it could use a little more darkness since the torch is pretty small. I actually got the idea while playing The Tomb of Ancients on Rayman 2.

Rayman: Razorbeard's Vengeance demo 2 is released! In this demo you can play 4 levels from my game. You can change which costume you want by going to the Options. Its much easier to make the game work. Just extract the data folder and take the .exe out of the data folder and then you can play the demo. If there is any bugs please let me know. You can also use the shop but its limited to where you can only buy the free life, the big power-up, golden fist, and the little power-up. The full version includes the unlimited gold fist and the unlimited big power-up and the mini-games.

EDIT: If you are trying to record this demo. Try using some other recording than Bandicam because when I try to record it no matter how fast the game is, the game is very slow.

I'd really like to play this, though the game lags like hell. Like really. It's extremely slow D:

Game lagged for me too (even earlier demo) when I tried to record it.

When you record the game, it will slow down a bunch. It doesn't though when you don't record it. I will look into the engine and change the overall speed of the game.

I would like to test it, but I'm stuck in the menu, only arrow keys work and can't even select anything, only move the arrow...

I literally tried every button from my keyboard but with no results. There is also no music in the menu, I don't know if this is how it's supposed to be but I will just point it out if it's a bug.

Thats fixed when you move the exe one folder up

Why couldn't it be like that at the beginning? Why does the player have to move the .exe themselves?
I'm going to list some sort of pros and cons here:
- The engine itself is really good.
- Level design is also nice
- I like the R2 prototype sound effects and Raymans sprite.

- The powerup cans from R3 is a good addition.
-I still don't think the cubic look of the ground looks good.
-Most of the sprites are not smooth enough, or are completely steady (Like the lums and flower platforms), and that bugs me.
-Floating plums everywhere!
-Maybe add a logo to the main menu?
Overall it's looking kinda good, I think the only problem is the graphical issues.

Ok, here is my answers to your cons.
-I will try to make the cubic ground look flat using Gimp, but don't count on it to be perfect.
-I assume you are talking about the Henchman 800 and the Pirates so yes that is also fixable.
-I can add platforms to where the plum is hanging on the bottom.
-I will use MS Word Art to make the logo.
I also tried to record the game on a old prototype version of the game but it still lags to death. So I don't think this can be fixed, but I will still look into it and maybe improve it.

Lag depends heavily on how optimised your code is. Messy code, messy performance.

Why not make the logo yourself with gimp? ^^ Also, the game does not lag for me at all.

I got some news. I am taking a long break from this game to fix some problems and graphic bugs and plus I am working on a Crash Bandicoot fan game. So the release date of the game and the official trailer will be delayed until further notice.

Long story short I see people complaining about lag issues as I recall the game based on my rayengine from back in those days. To cut it short if you still using the engine and you did not thinker around and use external data as I did it WILL drop performance. Keeping everything in memory is not exactly the greatest idea. Besides that when I gave you the engine it was not fully optimised and also was not tested on specificly lower quality machines like laptops. Which means everything that does not hit the following requirements will may not run smoothly: dual core intel, ATI radeon 3600. (Not everything but as much I remember.) As I recall that was my old PC's inside which still runs smooth to fix these preformance issuoes you do have to dig deep inside the code and see how can you make the same or better code with less CPU time.
P.s.: Thats why I said the engine is probably not the greatest.

I just started working again on the game. I just made a new costume for Rayman when he touches the new super helicopter power up can instead of just that potion in Rayman 1. I will post a photo of the costume as soon as I can.
