I don't think they have any in-game description, and all we've got is their French name (Noirôdeur) from the old Rayman 3 website and the press pack, as well as the information that they basically spend their entire lives in holes, observing what happens outside.

While I don't know of an English version of the press pack, the old Rayman 3 website should have contained this information, and it may still be around.

Any idea what it's called?

I tried with webarchive both American and UK sites, sadly not enough snapshots.
I will email Ubisoft and ask them.

I think I have an English Press Kit PDF on my computer, but I might be wrong. It doesn't harm to try out though.

Darn, the press kit I have is in French, I had the feeling it was english. I fear I can't help.

And the mystery still goes on. Looks like only hope is eBay that once someone will sell English Press Kit.

Now that's a good question. If there was an English version I would probably have it already in my HDD.

If all else fails I suppose we could translate the name we have. "Blackstalkers" or something similar?

My suggestion is that we mention both original French name on English Wiki and then also say that it means Blackstalker.

But we must choose a main name potato.

A more accurate translation of the French name would be Blacklurker.

I'm in favour of creating an article using the original name and then mention the translation, as it's best to avoid made-up names whenever possible.

Sure, as long it is made clear that the English official name is not known.

Almost seven years later, I was reminded of this and eventually got to create the article.
