Rayman Pirate-Community

I don't know if this has been suggested, denied or whatever but has anyone thought of doing a meetup or a large convention? I kept looking at the views of most of the older topics and the views are phenomenal and with that amount of members, you're bound to have a successful convention if it happened. Rayman game championships, competitions, etc.

Venues don't cost much these days. Although, if it were to happen - where would it be hosted in? France? England?

I've definitely heard this one come up before, but as a topic, I'm not sure.

Suggestions have been said in past but it never had it's own topic. If it did happen though, I guess France would probably be a location for it.

I'm sure it's one of those topics that was brought up elsewhere; I know I remember what topics have come up here and this one certainly did not have it's own topic.

As for the actual topic itself, a convention would certainly be a wonderful way to be able to meet everyone here. France would most likely be the ideal place to hold such an event as a lot of us are from Europe.

If it were to be in France, there could be a possibility of inviting Michel Ancel and Yves Guillemont down cx (Sorry for spelling their names wrong) but it would be an honour meeting them both Maybe everyone could wear headbands (if they wanted to) with their screennames on them or the more well-known, important members could have stalls and have one huge section for the rayman game adsolution is making c: ..or, posted about anyway.

It would be cool to do a RPC convention but i live at the other side if the globe....

You could always just buy a plane tickets and visit France

I didn't mean change forever. I meant to say, just by plane tickets if such convention ever happened, visit France for day or 2 or even a week and then return home.

A Pirate-Community IRL in Lille was once planned but unfortunately it did not come to fruition. How about we have a poll on the preferred country in this topic? France and England sound like the best options but does anyone have another suggestion?

Hm, a convention sounds like a nice idea but it needs a lot of work to make it a reality.

actually I'll be spending next years spring break in france touring with some classmates. It would be great to hold a convention in the future but Me, brad, and zepto live in North America and 'cog in Madagascar, so it would need to be thoroughly planned out.

We can't expect most of the non-Europeans to attend, but yeah if some can make it that'd be absolutely great!

England or France would definitely be good. I almost think that Calais might be nice, being just on the edge of France, bordering England and all.
