It's very depressing finding very old threads by mistake and checking people's profiles, only to read they haven't been on the RPC for 10 YEARS. Wow. It scares me when people are away from something for a while, like, away from an account because you don't know what ever happened to them.

I feel like that sometimes.

Yeah sometimes I think about my friendson the RPC, several years ago, and I think about Jinzo and Rayray1994..

not really, sometimes life gets busy or they outgrow parts of their lives. and while it is a tad saddening that they left, it isn't quite worth upsetting ourselves about the past when there's so much happening in our present and future.

I miss a couple of people sure, but like dartofthedavros said, it's not that important, especially when compared to real life.

I totally understand you Andy. I for example really wish I had a chance to talk with Xenesus.

Reading their messages always feels so strange, it's hard to imagine they're gone.

We spent many years with them, and they were too young.

I've not ever really felt this way, there are a lot of forums I used to be on that I haven't touched for many years.

I'd never spoken to Jinzo (though I definitely knew who he was), but in Rayray's case especially, since I spoke to him regularly on the IRC for a few years, it's strange and saddening indeed... It sort of feels like he's still here, just not active.

It made me even more sad a bit. I never really talked much with him but he was great user.

I have feelings that are somewhat similar everyday, but I've also felt the exact same thing on occasion on another forum. Was also strange when I discovered that a user from another forum who I somewhat knew due to a particular incident used to visit here.

And then when I joined Smashboards recently, I noticed that someone from here joined around the same time as me, which was a funny coincidence. Even the internet can make the world feel small at times.

Oh. I'm awfully sorry for the RPC's lost. Sounds like a nice guy. Hopefully, he'll be playing rayman 4 up in heaven. The real one.

I miss Rayray. He taught me a bit of French, and it was supposed to be just the beginning. Just thinking about our last conversation makes me want to cry.

I'm really happy I was able to meet him last summer during my road trip with Raylex. I wish I could have done the same with jinzo.

It's not even so much here but on the internet in general where I lost touch with some people I knew over a decade ago and I have no idea on what they're up to because of whatever life had thrown them. Even then there are some people I had arguments with that I'd rather not get back into contact with but I still think about them.

And as for people who had passed away, there used to be a time when I was on a paintchat that Eddsworld used to go on and I used to think he was being annoying in it, but it was only until he actually passed away that I had no idea that even at that time (in the paintchat) he was fighting cancer and I just felt so bad for that.

Nah. I'm trying to do alot of things in life, and you realize you can't do two things at once or be in two places at once. When we see that poster hasn't posted for 20 years we unconsciously hope for them to come back, but coming back is an opportunity cost from doing whatever they are doing now. That's how I think of it.

Fuck. In 1 year it will be 10 years from joining this site. I also joined RZ in the same year. I remember "OH PEOPLE! REAL LIVE PEOPLE! ON THE INTERNET!" And posting something hoping to get reactions FROM REAL PEOPLE. Besides that I was just posting lil comments and just agreeing with people.

Ah how the time flies. Know what else can garner feels of nostalgia? Your first post here in PC and the topic that came along with it.

Perhaps this will throw back some nostalga
