Hi guys, can you tell me if the most rhythmic track that you listen to the 3:42:00 minute of this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7QM7tet2Vs is also available in Dreamcast and PC versions? In these last two versions I haven't listen this variation.

It's present in both the Dreamcast and PC versions, it plays right as you approach the first switch you have to hit in the second area (not counting the one right at the very beginning) that drops the ramp, next to the spinning spike wheel.

However, it doesn't always seem to trigger in the Dreamcast version. It's there, but it didn't trigger last time I played it.

I did the comparison with Dreamcast version by this longplay: minute 3:26:40 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2R47KG2YVQ

However it's a relief to know that is not an exclusive to PSX version of game, thanks for clearing my another doubt

Ad I wanna ask to you a last pair of curiosity. For first do you know where in specific can be seen also in N64/PC and DC versions this type of birds (toucans)? Image
For me this birds give a special touch to this wonderful game.

Second, turn up the sound and listen to the minute 2:59 of this video of Rayman 2 for N64: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKEr7zkgfwI
This timer who's activated when you take the first of a string of Red Lums also appears in Dreamcast version? I didn't see in various gameplay of this version.

1) I know there's some on the Fairy Glade and the Iron Mountains, but I don't know off the top of my head really.

2) Yep, that same timed red lum string is there in all versions. If you meant the ticking noise, it's also present in every version.

If you remember, could you tell me in the Dreamcast version where I find a Red Lums timered strings for increase health? Because at the same level of the N64/PC versions in the DC version is not present, look at min. 4:40 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8WczCYiHIc

There's also one in the Menhir Hills, at point of the Walking Shell ride that you perform a tight curve.

Please don't double post.

Honestly, I don't remember to have seen a string of Red Lums in the DC version. Wouldn't it be in the same locations as in PC version?

Found it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2R47KG2YVQ minute 40:05

I vaguely remembered that in the Dreamcast version they had placed the timered Red Lums string in other areas, it was impossible that he lacked.

You talk about Rayman 2 or Rayman Revolution?

Now that you bring this up, can I ask about the music for the mini Jano battle in COBD part 1? Having played this game countless times down through the years, the proper music has played only a very small number of times for me. I'm guessing it's to do with the way Rayman lands on the platform, but I'd like to know if someone can tell me for sure, because it's kind of frustrating.

It also happens with me, it doesn't always get the music triggered.

You ask always about the Dreamcast version of Rayman 2?
However I don't understand of that musical sequence you're talking about, can you make me listen it somehow?

PC actually. The music I mean is the same music that plays during the Jano chase in part 2.

The music we're talking about plays for most of the first section of my latest video, which was partly inspired by this topic:

Ok, I thought that Adsolution was talking about an anomaly on Dreamcast version of Rayman 2, since that was the main discussion on topic.

But there is one thing I still can not understand. Apart from the Jano's jaws who can not occupy the entire screen in widescreen mode, when you say:
the proper music normally doesn't don't play and charged shots do only one points of damage
where is this anomaly with the soundtrack in this level? Although I have seen your video, I have not seen other oddities aside the Jano's chase.

Could you explain better and also can you tell me if the same things/errors happens in the Dreamcast version?

In the mini-Jano fight (in the last section of the video) the music from the Jano chase is supposed to play, but as you can see/hear from the video, it usually doesn't. Instead, the normal ambient music continues. As for whether or not this also happens on Dreamcast, I don't know - perhaps someone else can clarify.

EDIT: I see there's some confusion here, which is probably my fault. Adsolution was talking about the Prison Ship, then I steered the topic to the Cave of Bad Dreams, since the Prison Ship discussion seemed to be resolved. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
