It's 16-bit and I believe it's signed, though really it's 32767 because -32768 is the minimum and 0 counts.

Steo is exactly right. But I was thinking of it in more abstract terms, just that its hex expression is the beautiful 0x8000

Ah yes, of course. That makes sense hehe. I only learned about these things during learning Python and experimenting with things. I used to never understand all those things and why bytes are 1024 instead of 1000. It all started to make sense very quickly by simply just thinking "8-bit".
