Re: RECORD-ED DAY
Weh, that depends on whether you keep your audience interested. ;D
I like watching videos that are upwards of an hour long, as long as their host is entertaining enough. If I don't know the channel, however, seeing something that's 2 hours long is a bit daunting and I often won't even start watching it (that's some strategic advice for you there).

Meh. I'll do my best to keep it entertaining, then. And fak if this one is lasting a bit longer than intended...
EDIT: Got new ideas about the way it's gonna look like. Random stuff will probably be put together with awesome quote so it will be more active.
I'm currently cutting everything that could be interesting in the footage. A bit long, but I should have finished by the end of the evening. Then, only camera sessions will reworked. After that, I will enter montage.
What's interesting is that I found what I will use for the very end of the movie. It fits an ending quite well, with credits and all what matters.

Uh, quick ridiculous question... what should we say in our commentary? What's my motivation?

Re: RECORD-ED DAY
Why do you like Record Day? What was your experience with this year's RD? Any other thoughts on RD?
Basically, talk about Record Day. ;P

I finished taking a look at footage and cut it so I can use it directly into Vegas: for information,
I should leave it open 24/7 now, because it takes me 5 minutes to open the project as I'm using tons of material.
Now I shall take a look at what I recorded with my camera, select the best elements in it, prepare text for Record Day in itself, record myself, and start editing everything in the record day part along with the awesome stats part. Commentaries, quotes and random stuff will probably be merged into a big mix to make it more enjoyable...I don't think putting every quote at the same place would be interesting in terms of pace.
EDIT: Big thanks to PluM for his awesome audio commentary. Your english is way better than mine xp. Updated the first post.

Re: RECORD-ED DAY
Oh no, certainly, mixing in the commentaries throughout is a far better solution if you were planning on the other thing before.

Re: RECORD-ED DAY
Once I finish this project, I'll probably restart the RPC presentation I was trying to make last year but which failed miserably as I hadn't a good enough laptop to make it happen. I have a better song and a better grasp on the community than before, this time.
But first, let's finish this. Video-editing is taking me a lot of time, as I need to find tons of stuff to make it enjoyable (finding music, sound effects, images, rework some of them with photoshop, the transitions, the voice over...).
Hell, I M GONNA FINISH IT!
EDIT:
All the Shroonions have been collected!

I think that might be a good candidate for a lot of replies, actually.

Re: RECORD-ED DAY
Took her.
I watched half of the camera videos yesterday and I'm trying to create a good Record Day part. Some comments and funny pics along with sound effects should do the magic trick.
I still need help for awesome quotes. If you could find some of them it would be nice. The movie should be finished in time, and it seems 6/8 weeks wasn't a bad expectation, although I think I could finish it in less than 6 weeks if I move my ass a bit more. I already have a lot of time.

Re: RECORD-ED DAY
My commentary is done! Expect a PM presently.
I'll just be looking for some of the posts you could 'scroll the screen through' or whatever it is you do when you play the commentaries.

Re: RECORD-ED DAY
I'll try to do that if you are making an audio commentary and quoting some quotes, because it's relevant anyway. I'm already planning to do this with PluM's.
EDIT: Send it with Skype, it would be more practical. I left my username on the main page of RECORD-ED DAY.

Re: RECORD-ED DAY
Oh, I'm making no quotes on my own posts. Just a short 45-second commentary on what makes Record Day fun for me, personally. I mention my past selves though and thought it might be nice to dig up some old posts to show in the background to illustrate what I was talking about (I assume you already have gathered enough material of my more recent self yourself
). I'll send those through PM and then Skype gets you the voice files...?

I'm having trouble making my video.
Re: RECORD-ED DAY
It's fine, take your time. I won't have finished the reste before 2 weeks or so (at least).Bradandez wrote:I'm having trouble making my video.
EDIT: ROFL -> http://raymanpc.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... 40#p957277
I won't use all of it in the awesome quotes, but this one is worth mentioning.
EDIT2: Fuk yeah! I finished to take a look at all the stuff I recorded. The main structure of the Record Day and Awesome stats part are there. I need to edit them so they look nice, and add some voice over again.
I still have a lot of content left for the random stuff. Cola/Coffee mixtape, the Dance moves, WTFs...
