Rayman Pirate-Community

For sometime now I had the idea of having a Rayman Pirate Community Podcast and just wanted to see if anyone would actually want to do this. We could have one Rayman topic per each Podcast and we can roll out anything else in the meantime. I just wanted share this and see what others think of it.

Not actually a bad idea at all. Though, I have a feeling it would probably end up just being the same few members broadcasting, and it might get a bit stale. Do you have any ideas that would help keep it always fresh?

Yeah, we can always have members switch on and off. Maybe they can't make it or something comes up, so we have someone new come along and replace them for that podcast. We can always switch between Podcast if that's helpful. And for topics, we can let listeners suggest the next topic or something along the lines of that. If we're gonna make this happen, it will take a lot of work to figure everything out.

Hmm, nice idea, with this and the LP idea I'm beginning to wonder if we should have an RPC ideas thread, these suggestions always seem to disappear over time, t'would be nice to have a platform for them.

Ah yes. The Let's Play channel is still something I had in mind, but seems unnecessary to make another topic for that idea.

About the LP, I only made a video with Shrooblord, and non-Rayman related, but it's quite hard to play Rayman games if people are not in the same place (Eve/Bambooz/Emshy can play a lot together tho').

You could always do like a group skype thing for half an hour between a select few, and then that counts as the podcast

Yeah, Skype is where we might discuss and stuff.

Though let's dig right in, what would you guys want to do in the Podcast? Come on and suggest.

Ideas:

- Rayman news (what's happening about the limbless hero: official news, new fan content, etc...).
- The History of Rayman (a colourful feedback about Pix'n'Love's book).
- Stuff about a Rayman game (here, we would only focus on one Rayman game at a time, and maybe more specifically on one aspect, be it modding, patching, trolling, or even fan games, stories, and artworks about them).
- RPC's surprising potatoes.

Yeah, it's a good idea. I'd probably take it a step further and consider an official twitch.tv channel for RPC and have the podcast on there, as well as an occasional stream of good gameplay or whatnot, then upload the VODs to youtube. It's a lot of work though.

Maybe have friendly debates like "Classic vs Modern Rayman".

Can a twitch channel be handled by several people at the same time?

Just a question, I don't know that many things about Twitch (yet) .

It's akin to a YouTube channel, so I can imagine that people can share one account in a similar fashion.

Alright we doing this. I really like saerleiya's layout for the podcast.

Layout:
- Rayman News (and if there's not any we'll just talk about Video Game news in general)
- The Rayman Topic of the Week (This could range from debates, retrospectives, and more!)
- Improvise Segment (Here we can talk about anything besides Rayman)
- Q & A (We'll take a handful of questions to end the podcast)

Now here's who wants, who I like to have on, and/or "forced" to do the Podcast. We will rotate if things get complicated and someone can't make it. We need 3 people minimum to start the podcast and we can have up to 6 people in a podcast.

I'm a bit confused. Do you want us to reply and say that we agree with the layout? If so, I agree with the layout.

One question remains in my mind though : do you want to make this a regular occurence or the podcast will be made sporadically?
