Rayman Pirate-Community

So I recently bought the GOG version of Rayman 3 and I've already noticed a problem I constantly encounter whenever I play it. Every time there's a bit of dialogue or music playing, it stops for a few seconds (goes silent except for sound effects) and plays again where it left off. This happens in real-time cutscenes as well, and the prerendered cutscenes even freeze for a few seconds before playing again. This has become very annoying and I'm wondering if there's any way to fix this. Can I just reinstall it or do I have to do something else?

I've only ever heard of this issue before on the Mac version. Have you made sure your audio and graphics drivers are up to date?

My graphics drivers yes but I never checked my audio drivers. How could I do that?

EDIT: I checked and my audio drivers are up to date, as are my graphics drivers as well. So what can I do now? My divers clearly not the problem here.

Windows 7 Home Premium

Try running in compatibility mode for Windows XP. I had this problem with my Acer laptop.

I tried that but the lag was still present.

Which gog version did you download?

Gog update some of there games. I just downloaded that version actually. Have you tried reinstalling it?

Not yet but I could try the next chance I get to do so. Are there other versions of it on gog?

I thought that might happen, can you record it with a camera?

Just finished recording some gameplay with the lag. I didn't get the prerendered cutscene lag in but I got the audio lag which I believe is a related issue.

The vids for some reason are upside down but you should still be able to know what's going on in them. Also the audio's a bit quiet so turn up the volume a bit.
