Hello there dear people of RPC.

As some of you may already know i'm studying Games Development at University, naturally I would choose to develop a game for my Honours Project. Specifically I created a game where it takes data which is generated within the game so it can be used to analyse how well you played in the game.

The game is a very very simple RPG where the only real thing you can do is attack monsters and gain as much EXP as possible. The game at the end will also save a spreadsheet file with the data I extracted from it, being :
* Randomly assigned Session and Player IDs
* How long you played the game for
* The level and experience you got from the game
* Your experience divided by your time
* Your last recorded location in the game

I promise that no other data, especially not sensitive data, will be taken from this game.

So what do I ask of you fine people? Simply put I need people to play my game so I can gather a wide variety of data from different people. By playing my game you are agreeing that I can take data and use it for this purpose. Because I am not willing to put any sort of public link on here to the game you will have reply here and say you want to play (and agree to me using your data) and I will send you a PM with a link to the game.

If you have any questions about anything regarding this do feel free to share them, not really sure what else to cover over than "I need people to play my game and also need to specify I am taking x data from them".

Ah ye I should mention now that the game is fairly buggy, although I should now have a version that wasn't as god awful as the one I was sending out yesterday.

Only thing I should really mention is that to defeat enemies you need to be standing on top of them because the way I programmed the combat is a load of shit, but as long as it's playable it shouldn't be too much of an issue when it comes to getting decent enough data.

Just saw this, hm, I'd love to test it out if that's what you want! Do you need it to be recorded too for any purpose?

All you need to do is play the game and send me the spreadsheet file in the folder when you're done. There shouldn't be any reason to need anything else from you since my supervisor just said "distribute your game to testers on game forums or in the uni facebook group".

Can I ask anyone who hasn't sent me data to do so asap? If you got one of the old copies I recommend getting the new one which is the same link as the one sent.

All the data I need from you are on that file, although i'm not sure what you mean by "X" ?

I think he means when you close the program by clicking "X" on the titlebar.

Ah, yes the data actually writes to the file as soon as you click the X.
