Hi! Question is, which version of rip is better in matter of sound quality.
"Copy" link leads to option of listening several tracks, like on RayTunes it is.
1. Dreamcast rip: https://copy.com/cYMU4gUf7ZXYifeU
or
2. Play Station 2 rip: http://raytunes.raymanpc.com/#r2
(untouched original versions)

Sorry for harassing you again. That's because I thinking about new project - making new R2 soundtrack from separate Rip versions for achieving the best possible quality of every several track during remastering processings. As you propably know, not every version contains all music as in Revolution it is, and PSX version sounds the best (avaible for download in signature), but it's most incomplete comparing to other versions.
You know, putting this all things reminds me sweeping desert sometimes.

Greetings.

Hey there! The link to the Dreamcast version doesn't seem to work, perhaps it has been taken down?

In any case, the rip currently on RayTunes is a rip of the Dreamcast version (combined with the extra tracks from the PS2 version), so I don't see why you would compare a rip of the Dreamcast version with another rip of the Dreamcast version. :)

So you already did that what I was exactly wanted? Almost.
Because If you didn't change anything from original release recently, you've made mass of work anyway, but unfortunately, this yours DC parts songs don't sounds like in Kooz rip.

And link fixed everywhere.

What do you think about it?

I give away my Magix project files to interested people. Contains lots of presets which some can fits to your files. Especially 22kHz.
https://yadi.sk/d/wouyhjvnu9r26 (not all though, lots of things changed since the original post).

Magix Audio & Music Lab 2016 Premium troubleshooting

There exists a bug which forces only 22kHz processing when 22kHz file is used as the first in a project.
You should always start from adding a first file to the project which is 44kHz instead of 22kHz, and later you can add 22kHz, and render only this track in the end.

Usually it depends on 22kHz auto setting in playback setting ("P" key). Normally it supposes to be set on 44kHz to not cut off the frequencies in the project.
If you have 22kHz, and setting above gives speed up sound, restart the program.
If still nothing, resample file in Object>Cleaning>Resample and pick proper setting (you can calculate the exact value, but be aware it's very difficult to choose from a knob, and you need to pick specific preset first, to be able to precizely set the value).
If still the same, try to resample any file to 44kHz, and add it as the first file in new project.

VST 32 bit plugin "rothair" can cause silence audio bug.

If you have a complicated project, the program can crash if you don't patch the binary by Large Address Aware.

Be aware that Gate plugin can cause some distortion to dynamics of the sound, and/or making e.g. fade outs completely cut at some point.

PS. Original Rayman Revoludion files used in the project - FLAC from here:
http://raytunes.raymanpc.com/
Great thanks to Droolie who uploaded the files as a FlACs and as lossless in-game rip, so I could restore more of lost quality.
(and thanks to his downloaded mp3s resampled to 44kHz in the first place I accidentally found out how to use this software at all and how to avoid frequency cut glitch)
Regards!

Update!

Code: Select all

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jCktFkeEqNMCvWJM-R15J8VJ-bpneCtr?usp=sharing
Here you can listen and download mix of selected remastered files with PSX version files. The most complete option, just to play and listen everything in HQ one by one. When you click on this link, you can just push the button "download all" there.

Final version of soundtrack for now.
