Rayman Pirate-Community

Hi people,

I'm here again to find some spriters for my current project, Rayman 2-D.
Rayman 2-D is a Rayman 2 remake, in 2D ( it's a platformer ). Smart huh? lol.
It's a ( really!! ) good game, and a good remake, with beautiful graphics!
( try to look at the lums below, they're the current lums for in the game ):

Now, I need sprites. I need sprites for:
- Globox ( Animated: standing, getting silver lum out of his mouth without the silver lum )
- Pirates ( http://forums.gamemaker.nl/index.php?ac ... try1439441 look at this link. )
- Carmen ( just make him swining the tail so it looks like he swims )
- Grolgoth ( I know there's one in R3 for GBA, can anyone rip it? Animated please? )
- Jano the gaurd of the cave of bad dreams ( Animated: making a skull, and just bouncing... if you can rip him from R3 GBA, that'd be great! )
- Zombie Chickens ( Animated, just rip them from R3 GBA )
- The Shell ( Animated: With rayman on it, just running and ducking, then without rayman too )
- Clark ( this one isn't rippable, so... Make sprites from the weak clark, the 'controlled' clark, the strong clark running through walls, and just standing. )
- Teensie ( You just need to do the purple hat ( from the teensie you have to rescue at the end of a level ) for now... look at the 3rd last post of this page for the size of the hat lol )
- ... rest of sprites will come here later

That's it. If anyone creates a sprite, he/she will recieve many many credits. ( end of the game, you know )

Also, I'm making the Rayman sprites myself !

EDIT - Added Jano and the zombie chickens to the list.
EDIT - Added the shell to the list.
Also, the sprites I really need now are in bold

EDIT - Removed the 'just standing' pose from the teensie, it's finished ( by ME ).

EDIT - Removed the teensies from the list. They're done!
EDIT - 'Sex Pistol' from the Gamemaker Community Forums just made a great pirate spritesheet for me. But there are still 2 more poses needed for the pirates!
I also re-added the Teensies to the list. Now someone just has to do the purple hat from the teensie you have to rescue at the end of a level.

You could ask lobasuu for help with animated pics, he's pretty good.

Maybe I'll try to ask him... but can he make sprites also? I don't need them animated, in a spritesheet is good too...

I don't know. You'll find him in RZ, I think.

I just added Jano and the zombie chickens to the list.
Hunch, it seems like you have some zombie chickens sprites from the GBA in your sig... where do I get them?

EDIT -> Now that I look at it, I have the zombie chicken sprites myself lol!
Also, I have a not-animated jano sprite, but it should be animated

Thats cool. Well, I guess you should go with Lobassu as well, I'd like to help, but I don't know how to do that.

That'd be great? What do you not know? How to make sprites? That's just pixelart. Just have a program like photoshop/paint shop pro ( /teh usyless prog Paint ) and make them!

I have many Rayman sprites, I will send them to you on MSN Messenger.

I see you can rip backgrounds with a GBA emu. Can you rip sprites too? If so, can you rip Grolgoth/Ssssam/etc. sprites???

Well, I'm not modifying anything from the RZFGP ( well except the lums then, but I asked permission for it. There should be something changed so I added the super yellow lums! ), if you think that...

Also, I'm now developing the shooting & the 'fix camera' mode in 2D. The fist looks great already, the fix camera mode is still being developed.

I am sure we can rip the Grolgoth from Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc GBA

Yeah, indeed, but I need him animated, so it would take much work...

Also, now the fix camera feature is done. When I did the lightnings ( when charging your fist, some lightnings come out of your fist when on max. power ) I finished the first part of the shooting feature ( still have to do the damage and the golden fist ).

Can anybody try to rip/create some sprites ( rip: Grolgoth, shell, etc. Create: pirates, teensies, ... )?

- First part of shooting system done ( the part without the golden fist )

- Charging is done too... ( well, except the lightnings then... )
- Fix Camera system completely done, some bugs fixed since last post.
- Dialogue system is being worked on...

Well, I'm not sure yet, maybe I will include a little surprise here ... like the intro that's explained in the manual, with Rayman being captured by the robo-pirates...

Okay guys, I created the teensies sprites myself, but not animated yet. Can someody animate these? ( I need one walking, standing, and clapping in his hands, and I created a first frame for the clapping one, and a first frame for the standing one. )

Yes, but animated. I would like you ( if you're working at it ) ( in the final picture ) to put ONE teensie action ( so you'll have to remove one of the teensies ) in ONE picture... then another action in another picture, etc.
