Unfortunately I think that would be a difficult task. First, I don't have the PC version of R3 installed, and second, gsmj's Ray3Get works on the hst, but maybe not on the individual files that would be extracted by my script. There are quite a few of modifications I'd have to make to the bms scripts and RayAudio to make everything work, and I just don't have the time for that at the moment.

Ray3Get never worked for me. It says Data.hst need to be in the full path (C:\Name\Ubisoft\Rayman3\...) and I did that and it doesn't work.

Hmm, then was there another extractor for R3 PC? What did you use to rip the (unnamed) PC tracks?

I used SoX but it doesn't name the tracks.

Ok. So after little evaluating sound of this OGG file, I can say that, there is worse little, but enhanced with it's pros in overall. So, it's not so balanced. It may sound really good for some darker signal chain, and it doesn't sounds somehow especially referentially. But still, it's interesting.
I'm more interested in what is the method of setting SoX in order to get that crystalised file.
It is not entirely processed correctly, because stronger compression to polish treble, is not neat solution, but always something.

Here I've made something with PS3 version:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-K2BY ... sp=sharing (link fixed)
But i'm not really satisfied/work in progress.

If you want to try other music files from R3, Xbox or/and X360 (don't know whether they are the same), maybe these tools will be useful in order to get different files and maybe achieve even better results if possible.

You said to go ahead with the PS3 rip as it sounded much better, but now you're saying it sounds average.
Because, still, it sounds much better than PS2 version. But in overall, it's rather average quality comparing to normal music.
Don't say that you don't hear that.
That's why he came here.

TheMygoshi, if you will want some help with arrangements, see here:
http://raymanpc.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... 0#p1007857
I probably have preserved templates for this listed segments, which should be all the same in all platforms.
But it's the matter of names (available in PS2 and PS3; those arranged segments are uploaded here:
https://yadi.sk/d/OMAqNeMgrQnJ9
https://yadi.sk/d/C1R-yE5crQnHA
with it's names.)

Do you have X360 files? Because if it's 22.05kHz, I think this platform can be the best at 22.05, and then I will apply the sampler and do modifications with OGG with SoX to see if I can do better with what you wrote.

The file of PS3 is the same as the OST version of Droolie. Don't notice any differences.

Sorry for messing with permissions.
I forgot that every uploaded file on Google Drive need to have changed settings of sharing in order to make it obtainable for everyone.
It wasn't in order to obtain your name. For what I would like to do it. By the way, it would be nice try.

Looks like differences based on PS3 file are made to slight by me. But more intensive are getting more invasive for me.
You can see differences on spectograms, or even compare cheksums.

Conclusion is rather that processing of processed (remastered) file is not especially good idea, and it would be good to start it from scratch. From 22kHz files.
If you look for some help, you're welcome.
Still, I rather recommend Magix Audio & Music Lab 2016 Premium or later for it, instead of SoX. But filtering noise required during using brilliance plugin there cuts too much "content" of music, or at least it requires some caution.
Here are more details.

Probably I'll.
I gonna try PC, Xbox, PS2 segments with my remastering tool. But before, I should finally enhance my equipment to do this well.
If anybody have some ready packages, or even single sets of segments from different paltforms I'll be greatful.

Anyway, I'd be very happy if you would tell exactly what you did in SoX in order to possess such crystallized file.
Polished treble manually of flac version of your files may bring also really interesting results.

What I used is SamplerX2.exe
Here are .exe and .bat, your file to be sampleX2-ed to upscale the sample rate must be a PCM WAV 16-bit, so you'll have to convert 22.05 files at wav pcm 16-bit, and then put them in the same directory and launch the *.bat, then you'll have same files at 44100hz if it's 22050hz before. And then what I do: Download BRSTM Converter, download last vgmstream plugin and then convert the .wav into .ogg, and the files sound like the Bad Architecture I posted, which sounds better than wav upscaled, because wav upscaled doesn't seems to be natural, but with OGG conversion it sounds good. What you can even do is use Awave Studio to resample PS3 files to 22.05 and then use samplerx2 to have a true 44100 track, because it sounds 32000 originally.

SamplerX2.exe : https://mega.nz/#!6t9EyI5J!-vxP-dQqZ62L ... E-rcgTIi-o
SamplerX2.bat : https://mega.nz/#!mxEkXTRC!dZmVCWnmCAGg ... Wc9TXIkvaI

I re-listened to the old Killy rip and the new of Droolie. The quality of the new is clearly better, but.. there are more noises. Listen to "Searching fro Globox", I can hear a lot of noises. It's a shame that you didn't call me for this rip, because it's awesome ok but I have a lot of time and I can be able to remove all noises from the tracks, actually.

I know from my experience that, if you filter some noise from recording, it may deteriorate quality itself. But file would be better subject for crystallising/remastering/further post processing then.
But still, rather not better than original source 22khz files presumably used by UBI for their remaster.
But, if it will be slight processing, yeah, maybe it may help somehow in case of no further interfering in file, but it's not that easy, to do this good.

OH WTF I see now why it's complicated. All segments have different time silence at the end, so we can't join these automatically without tiny noises between parts, but it doens't matter

No, I talk about PS3 segments, that you used with Droolie for the new OST. The noise at 0:57 for Searching for Globox is pretty huge though.
