Ah, welcome IRISnetwork, I had suspicions that your name was based off the underground movement from BGE, nice to see a fan and player of Michel's other great franchise here, please, do enjoy your time here, and check out our facilities, we have our own RayWiki, and RayTunes, dedicated to providing conveniences for members and outsiders alike.

Ah, we've been having quite a bit of rain here in the North West, not so much wind though, whereabouts in the country are you, Iris?

Re: Please introduce yourself here
Hi everybody!
I'm sonicbrawler182, but people who know me on other websites tend to call me "Brawler" for short!
I'm an 18 year old Irish lad, and I have been an avid gamer since the age of 3. I recently was enrolled in a college course in Computer Games Design, and I'm the class representative too.
Because I'm bored, I'll actually try to put a lot of effort into my introduction!
My history with Rayman goes way back to when I was a kid. My uncle had the original Rayman on the PS1, and I would sometimes play it while I was in his house. I was not very good at it at all, but I loved how colourful and cartoony it was, and I also loved the music.
I rented Rayman 2 for the PS1 about 2 or 3 times when I was young, and I really liked it. But I never bought it for some reason, and as a result, never completed. I think I didn't have a memory card on the weekends I rented it (my family had gone out, and my brother brought our memory card to play his PS1 games elsewhere, while I was babysat at home).
I did buy Rayman M though. I haven't played it since I was a kid, but I remember enjoying it. I don't remember much about the game though.
For a while, the only Rayman game I would play was Rayman Raving Rabbids (Xbox 360 version which was bought for me as a present. I also played the DS version as my little cousin would ask me to help him complete it).
Skip forward to 2011, and I finally played a Rayman game again when my brother got Rayman Origins for the Xbox 360. Wasn't sure what I thought of it at first, but I grew to really like it. I stopped at the halfway point though, partly because I disliked how all of the world themes repeated at that point, and my order on the Sonic Generations Collector's Edition came in. Not long after that, I bought Sonic 4: Episode II from PSN. But my brother asked me to buy the original Rayman out of my leftover store credit. I did, but I couldn't get into the game at the time. I had a lot going on at that point in my life, and things only recently calmed down.
However, my interest in Rayman did slowly come back when Rayman Legends was announced. Though it wasn't until the demo on Wii U that I became really excited for the game. It seemed like a worthy addition to my humble Wii U library. I was ready to buy it earlier this year with a voucher I had gotten, but as you all know, the game was delayed until August/September. I was disappointed, but then the Challenge App came out. And I became hooked.
After a while, I simply wanted more Rayman. So I went back to Origins (no pun intended) in order to finish it. I ended up getting all of the achievements, and needless to say, I now love the game. I then started up Rayman 1 again. I wasn't very fond of the game at first though, coming right off of Origins. Because I knew of the game's infamous difficulty, I took a break, and I got Rayman 2 for the PC. I 100%'d it quite easily, but I still really loved it, and it was better than I remembered. I then played through Rayman 3 (HD version on Xbox 360), and I really liked that too (however, I dislike the requirements for 100%ing the game, so I have not done so. I did find all of the Teensie cages though. I only missed 1 on my first run through the game!).
Then, I began to like Rayman 1 a bit more as I played it (though I DO STILL think it's kind of overrated and I think it's due to it showing it's age), and I managed to 100% the game a day or two before Legends came out.
I had Legends pre-ordered, and bought it on August 30th. I got all of the Teensies over the coming weekend, and last week, I passed the 1 million lum mark.
I really love the game. It's probably one of my all time favourite games.
If you want my ranking of the Rayman games based on how much I love them:
#1: Rayman Legends
#2: Rayman Origins OR Rayman 2 PC (I can't decide between the two, but both are excellently crafted games anyway, so it shouldn't matter)
#3: Rayman 3
#4: Rayman 1 (PS1)
And I have no real opinion on any other Rayman game as of now!
--------------
As for my other gaming interests, I think I should mention that I did play thorugh the HD remaster of Beyond Good & Evil (I think it was about a year ago, before I even went "Raymad"!), and I REALLY liked it. It definitely has me stoked for the eventual sequel.
I was a huge Spyro and Crash fan when I was a kid (they probably overshadowed Rayman, admittedly), and I still love those games today (I even love the Legend of Spyro series, specifically the second game). I like a lot of Sony and Nintendo's first party franchises, honestly. They're all great. I won't go into the details though, this post is getting quite long!
Though, if I had to name my favourite two franchises, it'd be the Sonic franchise (which I became a proper fan of in 2004 after playing Sonic Heroes, and I hold a lot of memories connected to the franchise), and the Super Smash Bros franchise (not only because they are near perfection every game, but also because of how rarely they are released, making the hype all the more exciting. I also hold a lot of memories of this franchise relating to my best friend in particular).
I've only really scratched the surface of the variety of games I play though. There are a lot more franchises and one-off games that I love. There's a reason why I am doing a course in Computer Games Design!
I've actually been lurking on this site for about a month now, and I've been itching to talk about Rayman, so I hope you don't mind be stopping by every so often!

Welcome Sonic! Do feel free to share your opinions for your preferences of the games in the threads for them, as your top four seems to almost be the exact opposite of 99.9% of everyone here.

Hm, a more detailed introduction than the ones we usually see. A pity, I feel a little burnt out to give a grand response, however, don't let my tiredness put you down, this is quite the established community, please, do also check out the other facilities we have here, the forum is merely a piece of a grander site for Rayman fans to enjoy, and I do hope you will also come to feel the same enjoyment.

Re: Please introduce yourself here
Don't worry, I've already enjoyed reading the Wiki over the last couple of weeks! Lots of interesting trivia to be found, and I even found out about games and versions of games I never knew existed. It also helped me out a little in my Electoon cleanup in Rayman 1, and I probably would never of found out about the 1,000th lum in Rayman 2 if not for RayWiki.
It's certainly the definitive source for Rayman information, as far as I can tell!
I'll probably make good use of RayTunes too, as I want to build up my collection of Rayman songs in the near future.

Hey! I'm tuxdude143. I have been a long time rayman fan. Rayman 3 was one of the first games I ever played. I sunk many hours into it. I played rayman 2 a lot as well. Its great to have finally discovered this place with fellow rayman fans!
