The fact that Rayman was scared of Jano is extremely inconclusive. Rayman being frightened when he unexpectedly encounters a monstrous enemy from his past is just as possible as Rayman being scared by an unknown creature he’s never seen before, and the Rayman Origins manual makes it pretty clear that Rayman put a stop to Jano back when he was created. There are continuity errors between the games, but this is not one of them.Rayrobi wrote:But anyway i think Rayman could not be scared much in the Marshes if he met Jano before, because then he should know what kinda creature Jano is. But he's scared much, and by this i mean that they must not met themselves before.
How did you become a Rayman fan?

That could be possible, since Jano commends Rayman for his choice in obtaining the Elixir.spiraldoor wrote:Not necessarily. As we see after we defeat him in the Cave of Bad Dreams, Jano has a strict code of honour. I doubt he would be bitter over something that happened a long time ago. Maybe he has even seen the error of his ways.Master4lyf1 wrote:There was no dialogue that suggested otherwise, and I'm sure that Jano might have been a little more aggressive in his mannerisms if Rayman had beaten him prior.

Re: How did you become a Rayman fan?
I had a pretty interesting introduction to the series. One of my friends had Raving Rabbids, and when I played it for the first time, I was hooked.
After time, I realized why I really liked the game: Rayman himself. There was such an appealing quality about the character, and I honestly could not stop drawing him. xD I learned of the rest of the games in the Rayman series around the same time and looked deeper into the stories and characters of the series.
So... yeah! I've been a fan ever since!
Maybe sometime (if you're interested) I can share some drawings with you all once I get more familiar with this place.

This. And anyways maybe Jano is a shapeshifter too.Now I kinda consider him Polokus' dark side.spiraldoor wrote:The fact that Rayman was scared of Jano is extremely inconclusive. That's sort of the conclusion we've all reached a while back.TeensieKing wrote:This. And anyways maybe Jano is a shapeshifter too.Now I kinda consider him Polokus' dark side.spiraldoor wrote:The fact that Rayman was scared of Jano is extremely inconclusive. I don’t remember any of us reaching either of those conclusions.RayFan9876 wrote:That's sort of the conclusion we've all reached a while back.TeensieKing wrote:This. And anyways maybe Jano is a shapeshifter too.Now I kinda consider him Polokus' dark side.

Well, strike me as a fool a second time, I misread BOTH of TeensieKing's ideas. I'm pretty sure I've gained a reputation in this.spiraldoor wrote:I don’t remember any of us reaching either of those conclusions.RayFan9876 wrote:That's sort of the conclusion we've all reached a while back.TeensieKing wrote:This. And anyways maybe Jano is a shapeshifter too.Now I kinda consider him Polokus' dark side.

Re: How did you become a Rayman fan?
Jano is only a fruition of Polokus' Bad Dreams, it is not related with the shapeshifting.
Now it is still likely that Polokus keeps to be a shapeshifter: he wouldn't change from a short-long-armed creature for an exotical-fakir-alike glute by randomness.

Perhaps Polokus constantly shift-shapes so that he can live amongst his creations, rather than above them, perhaps very few know of this constant shiftshaping and only they are made aware of his presence.

Maybe the fakir Polokus is a representation of the real him, a projection, if you will, while the frog-like pedestal sitting him is the physical being - albeit abscent-minded and in dreams.
Yes, I think I'll file--RayFan9876 wrote:Well, strike me as a fool a second time, I misread BOTH of TeensieKing's ideas. I'm pretty sure I've gained a reputation in this.

I think that was around 2001. My parents had the game when they where younger and passed it on to me. They never got past Band Land. I couldn't either untill I beat it last month.
