The name isn't official yet, I still have to check with Blok2004 (my bandmate), but were are on the net, no matter what. Here's the url:

Anyway, please check out the sample of Alternate Reality, our first song. Download it if you like. Anyway, feedback is appreciated.
UPDATE: The band name is now just Flashback. That has affected the url. Please check it out. I'll keep updating this post whenever something important happens.

It's pretty good, I 'm listening to it now. Is that you singing?

Yeah, that's me. I'd prefer it if it wasn't talking in the chorus, but Blok2004 insists on it. Would you prefer singing?

Your singing is good. You didn't actually sing notes, it's more like Fancy talking, but I liked it. I think you should do some stuff where you could mix it up a bit. You wouldn't mind me giving you some suggestions would you?

No, hit me. By the way, for the chorus, it's gonna be Blok2004 (I'll just start calling him Simon, his real name) singing. I lost his recorded track, though, so I recorded something to cover that until he can record again.

I was just going to say, Make sure that your songs have a structure. When you come to the chorus, bash something big and loud out. For the start, I would start off quiet and then build up to a big thing. When the chorus comes, make a big lot of noise, and then calm it down. I think you songs would sound good in ternary form (section A B A) . Start on A, then go to a B section with a loud part for the chorus, and then end on A again. This is the most simple and effective way of composing all types of music.

Probably about 4 minutes. That's not too long.

I think it will be about 6 minutes long.

No, you just heard the intro, the main riff, and the chorus. Plus, the end might just be alternate chorus, then normal chorus. I think that's how it would work.

Will you just be doing the same music or will you try out different styles?

What do you mean? As in, different types of Rock? If that's it, then the answer is yes. We'll be doing metal, like alternate reality, going into the classic realm, more lighter rock, post-grunge, and even heavier metal. Lots of that.

Yeah I know. You never know, we may meet someday. Both our bands could rehearse together and stuff.

That would be a good day. For now, all we can do is send each other music and critique it.

How did you record yours and then put them into your computer?
