My last words about that joke :

I'll be on vacation that day so it could become be quite difficult to be active if I don't have access to a computer with internet, but I will try.
The english community seems to have strong 1 liners skills especially in the off-topic section so it will probably be my main target that day .
I'll make sure to post in the elderly topic in the French section tho, since I fit the qualifier.

Some Rayman Origins (or is it Legends?) avatars are teasing me a bit so I hope that if I ever participated, my record won't be too hard to beat T;T, I need these 'Personal Best' sweet tings.

Hopefully you can make some time, I've had RD cut short by vacation several times now. :/ But still, being able to show up for at least an hour or so is still worth it.

I'll have to see for myself. Since I'm finally not attending it in Europe, it means I'll spend my most major hours at night. Probably wanna secure some sugar for the night.

I can already taste the Shrek posts!!!

I've never competed though, so for anyone who has before, how long do you think that'll take? Will I need to pull an all nighter? Because I gladly will, I just need to be fully prepared. Dinner at the ready, a huge cup of tea, and maybe even a few biscuits if necessary.

From my experience you really do gotta keep up the pace more than you'd think. The longer it lasts the more you start to wanna chill a bit, and I'm definitely aiming to be part of all the memes and trash threads. Finding threads to post in isn't that hard since all the popular once will be exploding with posts, and especially The You Game receives a new post like every 5 seconds - You could just keep posting stuff like "< has 560 posts now" and "< loves spaghetti and shrek" if you wanted to.

As for how long it would take, I mean, I'm aiming for 1 post per 30 seconds, so 120 posts per hour. You can definitely be quicker than that and up it to 15 seconds (240 posts per hour) but there's only a few members who have the dedication to keep that speed up. Though I've seen Serza and OCG get to a point where they had like 5-7 posts a minute.

That's an impressive goal, it'd be a surprise to see a new contender in the Top 5.

Well then I should be able to reach my goal in maybe 15/16 hours with dedicaion, meaning I should be safe...
We'll see. We'll see.

So, does anyone know the exact rules of the all-nighter? I'd love to try doing one, but as I'm going to see F4ntastic Friday night, I don't know whether I should start posting when I'm on my way back home on the bicycle or not.

As long as you stay safe, everything is fair game, I guess.

I believe you're not allowed to be off for longer than 30 minutes, though Humch is the ultimate voice on that metric.

Coming from the person with the current record of 3800 (near enough) that goal is awful high, hell its' hard too see myself even managing to get back up to that much.

If anything I would recommend chunk goals on the day as opposed to one main (i.e. aiming for 1000, then 2000 etc). If you're willing to all nighter and presumably all day at that 2000 would be both realistic and a challenging enough goal.

As for all nighter rules I don't recall any time restraints although i've had fairly long dinners (no more than an hour at the least) and still manage all nighter bonuses. You're at least allowed time to eat and go to the toilet so unless you need to go out for whatever reason I don't think you need to worry that much about not getting the bonus.

Only thing I'm worrying about is that I will probably be on my way home from the theatre when record day starts. Won't take longer than half an hour, an hour max, but I'd hate to miss out on the bonus just because I need to travel home.

The RD is at Saturday isn't it ?

I just hope the local network will not get overloaded, connection is very low on Saturdays, because a lot of persons are connected.

I didn't know there was even a bonus for an all nighter...
So, what is the bonus? And what are the rules? Do you have to stay on from the very start to the very end without long breaks?
