Because it's about time this topic got made since a fair number of us seem to recognise and talk about it so ye let's do it.
To start convo off i've played (well finished) Vesperia, Symphonia and the Abyss in that order, with Vesperia just managing to still be my favourite of the lot if only because it actually has good gameplay and some of the most gorgeous graphics i've played in a game period. Symphonia does come awfully close though because as i've mentioned elsewhere it has the best story and characters of the lot. The Abyss was alright, good game just never really did much to compare to the other two.
I need to get back to playing Phantasia but it's just so damn slow pretty much everywhere.

You're telling me there are people on RPC who play RPGs outside of Pokemon?
Just kidding. Like I said previously I do intend to get Symphonia on both GameCube and STEAM.
Speaking of which Lloyd just got a costume in Smash recently, I'd prefer they make him an actual fighter though.
I still have a lot of Final Fantasy's to catch up with so its gonna take me forever tul I start playing Tales ;_;
RPGs are always so long

The first one I played was Tales of Graces f. I've completed it a couple of times, and I really enjoyed it! I should play the others as well!

Of course, I play both Poke and Tales.
I heard Lloyd was quite the popular contender to be in smash, at least from what i've seen within the tales community. I wouldn't mind it so much but despite dual sword he's still another swordsman in a large crowd of sword users.
Tales of for time is not that long unless you want to do all the sidequests, those tbh take up a good majority of the gameplay. Hell if you're a completionist you need 2 whole runs of Symphonia just to get all the bosses since there's a route system which changes one of the bosses.

Well I've heard of them and of course I am aware of Lloyd (being in SSF/SSF2/SSB4 (as a costume)) but I never actually played one.
I've heard they're quite good though.

They're certainly worth the try if you've seen it and think they're interesting.

Graces is high on my want list in terms of tales games since my friend likes it, most likely going to get Zesteria next since it's on Steam.
Also you should be playing Symphonia since I know you have it and it's disgraceful you haven't played it yet.

The only one I've played so far is Abyss. It was pretty good overall but I felt there was too much filler padding the game out making things drag at times. I really want to try Symphonia since I heard that was the best.

One of my main issues with the Abyss was that it was so hard to figure out where you were supposed to go, most of my hours in that game where spent trying to figure out which part of the world I was supposed to go to.

Can't say I mind much filler stuff because of that since anything that happened in the game was like "FINALLY SOMETHING".

Bringing this thread back because if you pre-order Tales of Zestiria on Steam you will be able to get a free copy of Symphonia when it comes out and needless to say if you have any interest in either game I highly recommend it.
