I imagine they should? I don't have the gameboy connector for the gamecube...

They should be compactible but I don't think there's anyone in the community owning both a Gamecube and the GBPlayer accessory to confirm that out.
And like Acarr said above, be careful with double posts as moderators don't like that, and simple questions like yours can be asked in a respective game thread.
