Realistic topic to discuss goals, dates, etc within the Rayman community and series
Hi, Realistically, when can we expect anything from Michel Ancel and Rayman? I've heard of WiLD and Beyond Good and Evil 2 being in production but i've not heard of anything from any of them. I wouldn't expect to hear anything about Rayman at least for another two - three years, depending on what projects MC has got going on. It's unlikely he's never going to make another Rayman title, i mean, Disney still spew out Mickey Mouse stuff every year, so basically i doubt MC would just give up on his own creations because i'm sure he's got loads of ideas.
BG&E2 - E3 2016 / 17
WiLD - E3 2016
RAYMAN - E3 2017 / Quiet announcement / release 2017/18
Just a guess.

Rayman is a mobile series for now. Our new content will come in the form of Adventures updates until something changes.

Here's a more realistic possibility. A Rayman Adventures update once every one to three months.

This is realistic?

I think so, there is a game every one or two years since origins.

Honestly, as much as I want another Rayman 2, I'd be thrilled just to see another Ubiart game. I was sure we'd at least get a second trilogy before the series fell off again, and to end things for now with Legends seems very incomplete.
I love Adventures--hell, I practically play it on an hourly basis--but it's not a Legends sequel. More like an expansion pack; a GREAT expansion pack, but still not what we ultimately deserve.

I'd be thrilled if they made it look way different than Legends. Make it completely 2.5D, that at least would shake things up. Though, I'd like to see the UbiArt Rayman gameplay transit into full on 3D. Now that would be interesting.

rayman is dead and because of rabbids there is only not a lot of people who want to play it anymore
i would hope for a new game kinda like tonic trouble because ubisoft could build better reputation first

Yeah, I really hate how the Rabbids have taken over the series! Fuck the Rabbids! Also, McCain '08!

Captain! According to our sensor readings the OP of the one before the previous P is trapped in a massive space-time anomaly which desynchronizes his understanding of present reality, so the P is living in the belief that it's still 2008 when the Rabbids are relevant AND still killing Rayman.

i never said that... rabbids are dead too
but raymans reputation is gone and took a hit to people playing also ubisoft keeps making games that are mediocre in my opinion and a lot of others too

Hm, funny. Last I checked, Origins was prestigious enough to win a
BAFTA in 2012, and Legends was also nominated for one
back in 2014. Quite a mediocre reputation they're maintaining, hm?
I'll concede that Origins and Legend's sales may not have been up to scratch, but in all honesty, even if Rayman hadn't gone through the Rabbids era, I don't think it'd be that different. Platformer titles haven't received the same amount of popularity as they did back in those days, even if the original Rayman 4 or Rayman Raving Rabbids sold and did well, there's nothing to say that'd still be the case today.
I know many aren't fond of the direction the UbiArt series took the franchise, but ultimately, Rayman is still getting attention, the Rayman social media is still buzzing away, and Rayman Adventures, while not being a title to my taste, is going strong and is popular. And like I said, considering the fact that platformers aren't exactly a dominant genre these days, I'm thankful Rayman's still holding out. Compared to franchises like Sonic, which seems to somehow self-destruct even when on the brink of a potential recovery, Rayman's doing ok.

Are you kidding me? Origins and Legends have been some of the most acclaimed games in recent years. Yeah, they don't get as much recognition but they do more than well enough. They've been claimed as some of the best platformer games, so I don't know where you're getting your information from.
